I disagree with Ghamidi Sb. on a number of fiqh issues but from the core Islamic perspective, we need more ulema like him who can break the shackles of scientific and social stagnation among muslims.

You seem to me to be quite self-contradictory , sir , for the Islam that you claim to heve purged of the after -growths resulting from philosophical speculations is , after all , what you find it to be on the basis of your understanding of the scriptures . Who will solemnly affirm that your understanding is absolutely what Allah or His Prophet actually means ?
He never claimed that his understanding is the correct one. His stance is that this is how he has understood religion solely from content related to its source i.e. the Prophet pbuh. His understanding of this source is neither philosophy nor sufism nor fiqh. It is an understanding of the religion. That understanding is based on strong arguments within the framework of the religion itself i.e. Quran and Sunnah. Nevertheless, his understanding may have its flaws (like all human endeavors) - which is exactly why he is always open to criticism and questions.
He never said that my interpretation of Islam is the best , he said if someone wants to know about Islam then the only way is through Qur'an and Sunnah not philosophy or science or any other knowledge. Just pure revelation nothing else.
He has never claimed finality in his 'understanding'. His entire mission is an invitation to critically examine his views and to accept or reject those. Besides he stands firmly within the Islamic tradition as represented by the fundamental pillars of the faith so that there is no hazard of heresy that attends his views. There is a difference between arguments rooted in the Quran and Sunnah and conclusions derived therefrom applying the discursive methods of the Farahi school - yes he is a noble and brilliant heir to a longstanding and magisterial scholarly tradition and not a solo flyer - and those that propagate myths, superstitions, fancies, even bigotry and prejudice rooted in thin air yet passed along as authentic religion.
At its core, Kalam is a paradigm of thinking that aligns with truth and provides rational explanations for theological concepts. The Indian Subcontinent produced some of the greatest experts of Kalam over the course of centuries. A significant contributor to this chain of prestige scholarship, especially in the last few centuries has been the Dars-e-Nizami curriculum, designed by one of the leading scholars of his age, Mulla Nizam al-Din Sihalwi (d. 1747 CE), after whom the curriculum is named. The Khairabadi tradition was a major offshoot that contributed heavily to the Kalamic process. Much of their work needs in-depth exploration.
We need another round of Zaawiyae Ghamidi. This time perhaps with only Ghamidi Sahib speaking. The format of the last series did not quite work with quantum jumps initiated by the young keen minds leading to parallel universes being dealt with in one go! We need an in-depth discussion on epistemology and meta-physics in the light of the Quran - acceptance or rejection of key philosophical, mystical axioms and delimiting the scope of the mutashabihaat. To explain a bit, Ghamidi sahib on a number of occasions mentioned an idea or an assertion from the kalam, philosophical tradition and said that this was contradicted with alternative guidance provided by the Quran or the Quranic corpus. Would be most beneficial for him to elaborate on those sorts of deeper existential questions.

Ghamdi sb's eloquence and knowledge is remarkable. I tend to agree with his arguments but shy away from his convictions. He rightly condemns philosophy and logic for being too imaginative. Unfortunately he deploys same imagination and logic to further his personal faith. I wish he had shown some skepticism for his own understanding about the nature of the truth.

Muslims who were highly impressed by philosophical concepts and philosophers, they tried to solve philosophical concepts and questions in the light of Religion(Islam). In fact whole school of thought of mutakalimeen was based on philosophy and their understanding was biased due to the influence of philosophy. Due to this philosophical understanding of religion the ilm e kalam was introduced.

You seem to me to be quite self-contradictory , sir , for the Islam that you claim to heve purged of the after -growths resulting from philosophical speculations is , after all , what you find it to be on the basis of your understanding of the scriptures . Who will solemnly affirm that your understanding is absolutely what Allah or His Prophet actually means ?
He never claimed that his understanding is the correct one. His stance is that this is how he has understood religion solely from content related to its source i.e. the Prophet pbuh. His understanding of this source is neither philosophy nor sufism nor fiqh. It is an understanding of the religion. That understanding is based on strong arguments within the framework of the religion itself i.e. Quran and Sunnah. Nevertheless, his understanding may have its flaws (like all human endeavors) - which is exactly why he is always open to criticism and questions.

He never said that my interpretation of Islam is the best , he said if someone wants to know about Islam then the only way is through Qur'an and Sunnah not philosophy or science or any other knowledge. Just pure revelation nothing else.
He has never claimed finality in his 'understanding'. His entire mission is an invitation to critically examine his views and to accept or reject those. Besides he stands firmly within the Islamic tradition as represented by the fundamental pillars of the faith so that there is no hazard of heresy that attends his views. There is a difference between arguments rooted in the Quran and Sunnah and conclusions derived therefrom applying the discursive methods of the Farahi school - yes he is a noble and brilliant heir to a longstanding and magisterial scholarly tradition and not a solo flyer - and those that propagate myths, superstitions, fancies, even bigotry and prejudice rooted in thin air yet passed along as authentic religion.

The Indian Subcontinent produced some of the greatest experts of Kalam over the course of centuries. A significant contributor to this chain of prestige scholarship, especially in the last few centuries has been the Dars-e-Nizami curriculum, designed by one of the leading scholars of his age, Mulla Nizam al-Din Sihalwi (d. 1747 CE), after whom the curriculum is named.
The Khairabadi tradition was a major offshoot that contributed heavily to the Kalamic process. Much of their work needs in-depth exploration.
We need another round of Zaawiyae Ghamidi. This time perhaps with only Ghamidi Sahib speaking. The format of the last series did not quite work with quantum jumps initiated by the young keen minds leading to parallel universes being dealt with in one go! We need an in-depth discussion on epistemology and meta-physics in the light of the Quran - acceptance or rejection of key philosophical, mystical axioms and delimiting the scope of the mutashabihaat. To explain a bit, Ghamidi sahib on a number of occasions mentioned an idea or an assertion from the kalam, philosophical tradition and said that this was contradicted with alternative guidance provided by the Quran or the Quranic corpus. Would be most beneficial for him to elaborate on those sorts of deeper existential questions.
Exactly. I'm also keenly looking forward to that type of program by Ghamidi Sahib again, with some mature questioners and participants.

صحیح کہا غامدی صاحب نے، مذہب کے معانی اسکے مصدر یعنی ذھب (چلا یا چلنا) سے ہی نکلتے ہیں : وہ چلنے کا راستہ جو کسی نے بنادیا ہے یا بتا دیا ہے۔ تشریحات اور افکار اور افہام اور تفہیم کو علوم کہا جاسکتا ہے, مختلف اور متنوع اقسام میں رکھ کر ان کو سمجھ سکتے ہیں۔ لیکن مذہب میں بحوث یا کلام کی ضرورت یا کہئیے کہ جگہ نہیں ہے۔
Ghamdi sb's eloquence and knowledge is remarkable. I tend to agree with his arguments but shy away from his convictions. He rightly condemns philosophy and logic for being too imaginative. Unfortunately he deploys same imagination and logic to further his personal faith.
I wish he had shown some skepticism for his own understanding about the nature of the truth.
Apparently you missed his main point that is if you are going to criticize him or anyone else you should come from the door of Quran aur sunnah..

Muslims who were highly impressed by philosophical concepts and philosophers, they tried to solve philosophical concepts and questions in the light of Religion(Islam). In fact whole school of thought of mutakalimeen was based on philosophy and their understanding was biased due to the influence of philosophy. Due to this philosophical understanding of religion the ilm e kalam was introduced.
