I am a Hindu American who's lived in Utah as well as other states in the US. Utah is the _least_ racist, most welcoming place I have lived. Even though Hindus are such a small minority there, we feel welcome. Mormons often get a bad rap outside Utah, and I have to constantly tell people my experience of how accepting they are.
Jai Shree Krishna. I'm so happy that there are two Krishna temples in Utah. I can't wait to visit again (from California). My family is in Utah and I'm very glad they are close to Krishna Consciousness there.
I don't know much about Krishna, I grew up Mormon. But mormonism caused me a lot of stress and depression as an adult, but being at this Hindu temple doing yoga, and walking the grounds, renews my soul.
Thank you Sri Caru Das and Smt Vaibhavi Das, for this wonderful gift to our state and our country. God's Grace be upon you for ever. HARE KRISHNA, HARE RAMA.
Dear KSL, Thank you for covering the temple. It is heartening to see that locals have literally built these temple and embraced it. Since this is public platform, kindly allow me share feedback. 1) "Hare Krishna" is NOT a religion.... It a common mere two word chant most Hindus perform many many times over on a daily basis. It simply means hail Lord Krishna. 2) A Radha-Krishna Temple or any other Indian style temple is embodiment of Hinduism. There was not even a passing reference to word Hindu or Hinduism in entire video. If it was intentionally omitted, it is being disrespectful. 3) It is not "Festival of colors", it is called Holi. It is pious celebration of victory of good or evil based on thousands of years old story from Hindu epics. How would it sound if someone described Easter as "festival of decorating eggs"?
Well, to call the festival differently is just helping to break the cultural barriers for Americans. For example we call rathayatra "festival of joy ". Point is to get people to come. Thank you
@@gauranga1008 Its humble motive to get people to come, however there is no reason to do away or hide the Hinduness of the temple for it. Why should we Hindus shy away from it's Hindu origins? Hiding it is a sign of mental colonization that is still largely pervasive in Indians. We ain't fully 'free' yet!
Hinduism (Sanathana Dharma),a way of life gives freedom to its followers to think and question anything written in their texts.Bhagavan Krishna advices Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita "My dear friend , Arjuna you have freedom to accept or reject my words and to decide to take actions for a successful life".
First religion of the world in which god himself has taken birth on earth ten times and God Rama and God Krishna are the two out of ten births of god .
"The essence of the relationship of the soul to God" IS religion. (As said at the end of this video.) It's surely NOT beyond religion, as stated. No, it's actually part and parcel of religion. Knowing God IS religion.
A perfect spot for such a beautiful temple. I love visiting it every time I'm in Utah
