@@aykutyildiz7133 No I have not fixed it.....it’s still running and not making any weird noises. I don’t think my problem is with the chains but if I clear the code it will come back again a day later or sometimes even earlier.
P0017 es el sensor Posición de cigüeñal también conocido como CKP. este se cincroniza con los sensores de posición de árbol de levas (CMP) estos sensores pueden estar sucios o dañados. lo recomendable es cambiar los 5. El de cigüeñal y los 4 de árbol de levas ( 2 por banco , 1 de admisión y otro de escape). el de ckp está por debajo cerca del diferencial awd bajo una tapa metálica. y los de levas están bajo la caja de fusibles del motor hay que desmontar caja de fusibles estanque de refrigerante. Suerte PD : usen aceite de calidad. y no esperar los 10000 km
Dex oil has to be used. The screens in the vvt solenoid will allow dex full synthetic but normal oil won't flow correctly and will make it so the engine doesn't know where to send oil. That's why the timing chains get messed up. Waiting too long between oil changes will do the same thing. 5k miles and keep the oil at the right hight. Check oil once a week. VVT solenoid = Variable Valve Timing Solenoid.
hey man! question for you, i have the p0017 and p0324 code which was the same thing you had, and before i was going to do the flush it i planned on replacing the knock and came shaft sensor. i read that you had to have your timing chain replaced regardless. would you even recommend replacing the sensors or just flush it and then replace the timing chain if that’s is the final problem. thanks!
Yes! Normal oil doesn't flow threw the screens in the VVT solenoid. That's the main reason why you need dex oil. If it doesn't flow then your engine won't know how much oil to send to the engine when working hard.

Yup. So the engine seized on the highway at 162,000 miles (video at 149,000 miles) with Dexos Synthetic oil. 2nd transmission failed on the highway at 202,000 miles while passing the St. Louis Arch on vacation. Let's see how long the 2nd engine and 3rd transmission last on this money pit that drives real nice. I did have a good dealer experience getting the engine replaced. Costly, but no codes in 40,000 miles with a 3-year 100,000 mile warranty. No oil burning either by the 5k oil change times.
I’ve put over 80,000kms on my Traverse with p0008 and p0017 codes.
It’s still has not broke a chain yet.
It’s not even making noises.
have you fixed that? I have same codes on my Camaro 2011 V6 3.6. I changed chains nothing changed.. DTCs still remain

Brought vehicle to professional mechanic who pronounced that the timing chains were stretched.
On that engine , I would change oil and filter no more than 4000 miles. Timing phasers are very delicate on that engine.

After outing the recommended oil did the light go away.
Nope. Bad engine. Replacement has been trouble free for over a year.
The manufacturer requires better oil . You are tempting fate. Good luck with that.

what program were you using on your laptop to read the engine faults? do you have a blue tooth enabled OBD module?
I use OBD Wiz with a USB cable.

Oil has been changed
Just replaced the engine after it finally sized up. Hopefully yours is only the timing chains.
