A being God of War does not necessarily make you difficult to kill due to durability. In fact, it may do the opposite as that would allow you to show others that you are so skilled at the art of war as a god of war that you do not need to be durable to kick ass.

@@TheNiniito actually no, at least not in "GMGOW" difficulty, since the draugr she summons has the same lvl as the player and actually do like more damage than the Boss itself, it's true, she doesen't have any particular attack pattern, but the fight in his integrity becomes kinda challenging, take me for example lol, i easily defeated all the others valkyries in midgard and the alfheim one, in something like 5 attempts for every one (in GMGOW) but kara is still the only one i tried over and over and couldn't win lmao

I seem to recall, but it has been a few years obviously, that some of the valkyries very quickly pop out of their wing guard state and attack simultaneously and if they catch you with that attack is basically one-shots you. So when I answered the question "Why didn't you guard break?" With "because it isn't his first time." that is probably what I meant? Been 3 years so who the fuck knows what I meant at this point. Makes sense to me though so I am sticking with it.
I cant lie. I know your not on gmgow, the valkyries 2-4 hit you, you deal about as much as a light attack in hræzlyrs mouth (when the dragon flew away and the fight began) you needed perfect timing on parries blocks and dodges.

What is your build that you are able to rip through valkyries so easily, I''ve done basically every little part of this game apart from defeat all them, but my build barely makes a dent in them. A full spartan rage doesn't take more than a single bar off them, let alone standard attacks
InfernoNick17 I beat Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne and they are a walk in the park compared to this. DS and BB bosses are only as hard as these Valkyries in Give me a story or give me a balanced experience mode.

Watched only part of this video and I became inspired. Just beat all 8 of the Valkyrie. Didn't think I would do it this fast or it would be easier than I thought. I've heard the queen is a monster though. This should be fun.
Update. Beat the queen. I can offer some tips. If she goes left before bashing towards you, she's going to swing her wings at you. If she goes right before dashing at you, she's going to to jab her right wing at you. To avoid being blinded, press down on the d-pad. You can knock her out of the sky before she slams her axe or scythe into the ground or you quickly back away to avoid the blast. She doesn't scream ValHalla or whatever. Spartan Rage almost costed me the fight. It times out and left me vulnerable when she was flying back and forth. This allowed her to catch grab me and mash my head into the ground. Break her wing shield by tapping L1 twice when near her. Tunic attacks really help, along with having your defense up.
Nice to see someone who did the same moves at me doesn’t matter how many times you fell you still beat them So happy I beat the Queen I wanted to put it on my cv 😂😂

Can I say how impressive the player's progress is? From dying once almost every fight to winning against Sigrun almost unscathed. It was a really epic fight.
Honestly the valkyries weren't too hard after New Game + for me. I used the armor of the travelled. I only have the niflheim valkyrie and sigrun to defeat. Edit: This really doesn't look like GOW difficulty. He would be three shorted if it were and the attacks would be way more frequent.
Disliked, the vid is so fake, you can see that from the start. Not only do Valkyries 2 shot you on GMGOW, but all enemies are at least level 8( Kara's mobs are 4-6) , also no way in hell can you take 45% HP on a Valk with only Axe Runic attacks.
It IS GMGOW difficulty, he's just got really highly upgraded armor. He makes a ton of mistakes on the early Valkaries, but his armor weathers the storm. By the time he gets to the Eir fight you can see his technique is down.
I agree it doesn't look like it but it must be the armor or something, look at 49:17 when he goes to save it says "give me god of war" and the shield he has can only be gotten by beating the game on gmgow.
NCbrony nah dude..i play at extreme combat which is(give me a challenge). It does about the same damage as normal and extreme. It just more skilled enemy. God of war mode has like 1 or 2 hit no matter what lol

ok so, really, no hating, but this just isn't Give me God of war difficulty, i am playing the New Game +, on Give me god of war difficult at the moment, and at level 10 with maxed Valkyrie armor pieces and Ares armor pieces, almost every valkyries has waaaaay more attack damage than that, (unless you have 500 defense adn 300 vitality, then i can accept this), and it is instantly understandble bt looking at the Draugrs levels on the first valkyrie fight, they are level 4, while in Give me god of war difficulty they are the same level as the player, so it requires a high attack damage and lots & lots of Runic attacks, for trying to launch them off the arena. it is also very clear since the player who fought all these bosses has been hit by the valkyries tons of times, without dodging at the right time or using shield properly, which in GMGOW would mean almost instant death, since almost every valkyrie is assured to kill you in 3-4 hits, some of theme even in one, with some special non blockable attacks. LAst thing is the player damage to the bosses, that kind of damage isn,t really possible, since for example, me at lvl 10 with a strenght build set, hardly do half a section of damge of their health bar i want to repeat that i didn't write this comment for insulting or hating this player, i just wanted to poin out why, in my opinion, this is kinda sketchy, and i don't thinks it's really in "give me god of war" difficulty. edit: i just noticed antoher undeniable fact that make sure that's not in GMGOW difficulty by watching the whole video,by taking as an example Eir because it's the most obvious one, the Valkyries attack pattern it's assurd to change in GMGOW, which means that to some attacks gets added another attack, like with the "light pole" one, where first she smacks it in to the ground near the player then a second attacks comes in... well the problem is that in GMGOW the attack doesen't end there, there's a added attack where after those 2 moves she can use an unblockble attack or 2 parriable ones, but this doesen't seem to happen in this fight; annother example of unchanged pattern is when she defends herself inside her wings, when she attacks in GMGOW staying far frome her won't help you very much since it gets added an unblockable "yellow air" (lol?) attack so you are obliged to break her guard with the shield or the Executioner's Cleave

Gunnr is the first one I’m fighting, on hard. She wrecks my shit in 3-4 hits and I do very little damage to her. Closest I got was quarter below half her health and I haven’t gotten any better then that. Am I just not prepared enough to fight her or is it supposed to be like that. I just find it kinda stupid that everything in the game is a joke, even on the hardest difficulty. Then they throw this curveball (first Val) and it was a genuine fun fight, learning the attacks and dodging and after she fell it was a great feeling... aaannnd then bs started. Being blinded, 2 hit. Stomped. Mobbed. I love myself a challenge but you can’t go from 2-10 just like that. First 2 vals were pretty fun hard fights, after that I was bleeding from my ears.
That fight against Olrun was pretty bad. I beat her last night. Granted, it took me a while, but I didn't just power through badly with maxed out Invaldi's. I'm using waist of the Valkyrie and the rest is Sindir's dwarf king set - all three leveled up once. I also am using the infinity gauntlet for the additional runic attack and 3 enchantment slots. If I got hit that many times I would have been dead 10 times over.
I don’t think he is playing give me good of war. Because there are some moves that are different when you play give me god of war mode. They are two times stronger that usually.
Good work! With a ton of luck, Sigrun takes it easy on you. If not, then she just spams that stupid light and drop attacks... Could have been a much more enjoyable boss if there was no luck involved.
Most of them just spam one thing. Kinda disappointing from a game-design perspective TBH like their AI defaults to something constantly instead of mixing things up. The helheim one no joke did the triple jump four times in a row when I only needed one combo to finish her.
That is some super strong armor if I've ever seen one. I get two shot with lvl 6 and 7 armor. Doesn't feel like God of War difficulty, by any chance what armor are you using or does anyone know? Edit: I've gotten through 4 of the Valks. With my current armor.

I don’t care what it says. You got lucky, is all. She does her stun ONCE. She does her easy to parry yellow attacks all day. There’s this 2 hit sweeping move she does and it’s a red attack you have to dodge and she never did it ONCE either. You must have played her so many times that you got the luckiest run ever where she decided to go easy on you. (Oh Yeah, and when she does her kick stomp shit. She does it to you ONCE at a time. coming from the best combat system in an action game ever, this one is a disappointment. the stats and equip after a point make things trivial, and even then, much of the toughest fights relies on pure luck. oh, and that field of view redefines the meaning of the term "widescreen" .

I play on give me god war difficulty and I was level 3 when I first fought her almost got her but she either one shots or two shots you at that level . Then i came back c at level 6 and basically raped her I suggest you just enjoy the story do some favors and come back stronger

It IS GMGOW difficulty, he's just got really highly upgraded armor. He makes a ton of mistakes on the early Valkaries, but his armor weathers the storm. By the time he gets to the Eir fight you can see his technique is down.

I agree it doesn't look like it but it must be the armor or something, look at 49:17 when he goes to save it says "give me god of war" and the shield he has can only be gotten by beating the game on gmgow.

NCbrony nah dude..i play at extreme combat which is(give me a challenge). It does about the same damage as normal and extreme. It just more skilled enemy. God of war mode has like 1 or 2 hit no matter what lol

I just played gow 4 on its hardest difulcuty and the hits you took should do way more damage
ok so, really, no hating, but this just isn't Give me God of war difficulty,
i am playing the New Game +, on Give me god of war difficult at the moment, and at level 10 with maxed Valkyrie armor pieces and Ares armor pieces, almost every valkyries has waaaaay more attack damage than that, (unless you have 500 defense adn 300 vitality, then i can accept this), and it is instantly understandble bt looking at the Draugrs levels on the first valkyrie fight, they are level 4, while in Give me god of war difficulty they are the same level as the player, so it requires a high attack damage and lots & lots of Runic attacks, for trying to launch them off the arena.
it is also very clear since the player who fought all these bosses has been hit by the valkyries tons of times, without dodging at the right time or using shield properly, which in GMGOW would mean almost instant death, since almost every valkyrie is assured to kill you in 3-4 hits, some of theme even in one, with some special non blockable attacks.
LAst thing is the player damage to the bosses, that kind of damage isn,t really possible, since for example, me at lvl 10 with a strenght build set, hardly do half a section of damge of their health bar
i want to repeat that i didn't write this comment for insulting or hating this player, i just wanted to poin out why, in my opinion, this is kinda sketchy, and i don't thinks it's really in "give me god of war" difficulty.

i just noticed antoher undeniable fact that make sure that's not in GMGOW difficulty by watching the whole video,by taking as an example Eir because it's the most obvious one,
the Valkyries attack pattern it's assurd to change in GMGOW, which means that to some attacks gets added another attack, like with the "light pole" one, where first she smacks it in to the ground near the player then a second attacks comes in... well the problem is that in GMGOW the attack doesen't end there, there's a added attack where after those 2 moves she can use an unblockble attack or 2 parriable ones, but this doesen't seem to happen in this fight; annother example of unchanged pattern is when she defends herself inside her wings, when she attacks in GMGOW staying far frome her won't help you very much since it gets added an unblockable "yellow air" (lol?) attack so you are obliged to break her guard with the shield or the Executioner's Cleave

She wrecks my shit in 3-4 hits and I do very little damage to her. Closest I got was quarter below half her health and I haven’t gotten any better then that.

I just find it kinda stupid that everything in the game is a joke, even on the hardest difficulty. Then they throw this curveball (first Val) and it was a genuine fun fight, learning the attacks and dodging and after she fell it was a great feeling... aaannnd then bs started. Being blinded, 2 hit. Stomped. Mobbed. I love myself a challenge but you can’t go from 2-10 just like that. First 2 vals were pretty fun hard fights, after that I was bleeding from my ears.
That fight against Olrun was pretty bad. I beat her last night. Granted, it took me a while, but I didn't just power through badly with maxed out Invaldi's. I'm using waist of the Valkyrie and the rest is Sindir's dwarf king set - all three leveled up once. I also am using the infinity gauntlet for the additional runic attack and 3 enchantment slots. If I got hit that many times I would have been dead 10 times over.

Could have been a much more enjoyable boss if there was no luck involved.
Most of them just spam one thing. Kinda disappointing from a game-design perspective TBH like their AI defaults to something constantly instead of mixing things up. The helheim one no joke did the triple jump four times in a row when I only needed one combo to finish her.

There’s this 2 hit sweeping move she does and it’s a red attack you have to dodge and she never did it ONCE either. coming from the best combat system in an action game ever, this one is a disappointment. the stats and equip after a point make things trivial, and even then, much of the toughest fights relies on pure luck. oh, and that field of view redefines the meaning of the term "widescreen" .

I play on give me god war difficulty and I was level 3 when I first fought her almost got her but she either one shots or two shots you at that level . Then i came back c at level 6 and basically raped her I suggest you just enjoy the story do some favors and come back stronger
