The time does vary a little bit to time them with the songs. I did have a quick pace in mind (default time I set was six seconds). Figured if someone wanted to view a photo or subtitle longer, they could pause the video.
The better the drive the better the destination! Thanks for sharing all the memories of the year in stills. Great job. Hope to see you on the trails again sometime. George.
Not bad at all, huh? And thanks for the compliment, Bob. I'll admit, though, that when I stayed at the same motel in Vernal where we met, I did think about you I wondered what you've been up to. Hope it was a good year for you as well!
Mostly small rides but one big one. I have two friends who did the Trans America Trail several years back but broke down in Utah and never finished it. They decided to finish and invited me along. We thought it would be fun to do it on small 300cc motorcycles. We rented a U haul and trucked them to Utah and took off and went across Idaho and Oregon to the end at Port Orford on the Oregon coast and then home to Sacramento. Absolutely fantastic trip.
@seisamigos397 Oh, that's excellent. When we did that section, much of Oregon was on fire, and another had what appeared to be fallen trees from an avalanche. Much more than we could clear out even if we gave a full day to it, so we diverted quite a bit. And Idaho had a rockfall that closed down some of its route. But we made do. And Ray lost a brake caliper bolt that made a divert necessary to get a replacement. Another lost day. But that's all part of the adventure. Sometimes I feel sorry for guys who say they never run into problems like that. Think of all the great stories they'll never have to tell.
Another great video and commentary! You do amazing work on these videos! Thanks for posting that picture of me! I thought you took some pictures of your Gladiator in the driveway with 300 pounds of mud caked on it! I thought you would include those, but I guess you did not take any photos of your Jeep. Talk to you later!
Thanks, Mike. No, I went through all of the photos (not that I used all; still many on that rather large floor, LOL). And I don't remember shooting photos of that. I did shoot some video at home of me chipping off some of the mud as my initial teaser video. Maybe you're thinking of that?
@@rbh3488 That is a cool truck. A replacement for one that was quite similar. I'll dig up a link where Tad discusses it briefly. Give me a little time. But if you'd like to see it in video, check out my COBDR series. I think that's where I caught him for the rig talk too. But it appears in quite a few other series on the channel. And I can get his attention to any questions you might have. Though I'm in OK and he's in OR, we stay in close touch. Always have something going on.
AEV. That is the same brand as my Wrangler, but AEV redesigned it for the 3.6L motor (vs my 3.8L), making it a lot larger and replacing the fish bowl with the Darth Vader air-particle separator.
Mark,
Thanks for a great wrap up for 2024.
Was great seeing some picture of the trailer in action.
Thanks, Wolfgang. It was great to travel with you!
Mark, I like your stills… you give just enough time to catch them before moving on!

You're welcome, George, and thanks for inviting me in on the fun!
Great photos. Thanks…..😊
Thanks, Jeff. You're welcome.
Woot!! Thank you Mark!
You're welcome, Dan. Enjoy!
Great stills and selection of music. Not a bad 2024!

Yeah, we ran into fires in Oregon and had to find several work arounds.
Good on you Mark, if you ever come back to WY look us up!
I'll keep that in mind!

Okay, this link should take you to 2:57 where Tad discusses that rig ...

Mark, your Gladdy looks like it has the stock springs?
That is correct, but with 1.5" spacer leveling kit on the front.
PS just curious what maker Greg’s snorkel was?
