      The squad has turned over a hell of a lot. You cannot say these players are referring back to Jose or Conte. Ange has been here for 18 months. I think he instructed them to sit back today because he's getting desperate for points. He knows his head is on the block. Next up, in form Newcastle. Isak banging in goals.

    I've got to be honest - I just looked at the PL table and was trying to work out who will win today etc and the effect on our position ..... We could be on a very sticky wicket if scores go against us today. All of that said, I still believe that it is partially our players and partially Ange's tactics that have resulted in our dire straights. I really don't get why he brings on Werner when we have Mikey on the bench. I also do not believe that Sonny should take a break, he is ineffective right now.
    But I still believe in Ange and I reckon that Levi should as well ......... give him the bloody dosh, Levi, and get some established players in.

    So intellectually lazy and easy to just call for the manager to be sacked.
    Earlier in the season, at full strength, the team had some inconsistency issues (e.g. Brighton, Ipswich) but was definitely 'better' and tighter than last year.
    + Much improved up front. Stats show this.
    Then the wheels fell off.
    Manager could have adapted better for sure.
    But IMHO this is NOT a situation for sacking in the middle of a disrupted rebuild. That is a mis-diagnosis of the situation.
    Patience, resolve is required!

    Ime a bit of an Aussie novice when it comes to tactics
    How is it possible to win when you have 10 1st players injured, or am I on the wrong page .
    Epl is the best of the best and when you lose your best players to injury, I guess its very difficult to win
    My father in law has been a spurs supporter since the 50s and he still has trust in Ange
    It takes years to get a black belt so why do Spurs supporters expect Spurs to win every game.
    My humble prediction is Ange will succeed, but maybe in 3 years
    He is passionate and believes in developing players to reach the highest levels.

    I wouldn't count my chickens with Romero even when he comes back . I think all the background talk about Real Madrid has gotten to him . He's gone missing many times this year , especially around international breaks .
    I'd rather we focus on Dragusin long term coupled with blooding youngsters like Alfie Dorington, and the new ones comming in like Vuskovic. These guys are the future

      @paullasky6865 18 днів тому

      @paullasky6865 I don't think the club is planning to sell Romero . I think Romero & his agent might be playing politics . I think the club looks at Romero as key player , but I don't think his heart is in it . Why would you want someone like that in your squad who expects others to show leadership. He's the one that needs to show leadership. That's why he's there and that's what the club would be hoping for . I just don't think he wants to be here , so why not make some money out of him and find players that want to be Tottenham players first & formost

      @ivanm9127 18 днів тому

      @paullasky6865 Perhaps , but could be the next evolution under Levy . Just like Arsenal , his focus was on building world class stadiums & facilities and securing ongoing revenue streams . So now it might be stage 2 coming up , after finding a decent manager , the next step is to invest in building a strong squad so that Tottenham challenges for honours regularly. Brick by Brick . I'm sure he's got Tottenham 's interest at heart . In Ange he has a fighter , who's had an unusual amount of bad luck . But I can see smoother waters moving forward

    On the son thing for me he’s clearly still a good player but physically can’t do what Ange is asking of him I.e. Ange is failing to get the best out of our 1 world class player so for me that’s on the manager. Werner is frustrating but has had some good moments and clearly there is a reason why he was available for 15m which is what we’re seeing by comparison let’s not forget we paid 50m for Johnson.

If Sonny was firing and Kulu and madders improved their goal threat we would have far more points on the board from those early games. Get behind the team, Get behind the manager. The rebuild constantly gets brought up and that the board is not doing enough. I disagree with the negativity and impatience. It's only been 18 months . I'm quite sure behind the scenes there is a strategy and it's being implemented. What's thrown a spanner in the works is the " voodoo style " of bad luck that has happened. That amount of bad luck will destabilise any team . It is what it is . But I'm quite sure be these short term problems will be worked through . Most fans don’t know behind the scenes injuries is screwing the rotation of players. Filling in gaps with out of position players because of the injury deficits. Ange is realizing its not as simple as having a star winger playing as a striker. Need more Center backs that have enough strength to play up and run back to the defensive line.

  • @stuartrobinson6746
    @stuartrobinson6746 17 днів тому

    Craig listing who's to blame. No mention of the fans. This is a problem. If the club buy a player and it's not for enough money that we find acceptable. We freak and accuse Levy of lack of ambition. And it takes the gloss off a new player coming in. We don't wait to see how they play.
    The same thing with Werner this season imo. Son can play bad most games and Werner play well and miss some chances. The fans are demanding Werner never play because he's stealing minutes from an 18 year old at the club. When the kid plays and it isn't better there's no admission that it was a wrong take.
    Can you imagine how the fans would have reacted had the club forced Son out when Saudi came for him? So soon after Kane had gone. Son thought he was supporting the club and the fans. The correct decision was to force him to go. The fans would have freaked out and accused levy of hating them and the club.
    All the drama makes us an easy club to manipulate by the media and opposition fans.
    Melvyn's got some level headed takes on what he's actually seeing in the games, how the players are actually playing. And he's getting stick for holding an unpopular opinion.
    I personally am sick of seeing senior players fail to lead the team, when we need them to. Son, Madison, Romero, Bissouma. They get away with their inconsistency by us attacking the board and the manager. This is the thing that Conte was talking about. The Spursy thing. How, bad football is tolerated at the club. Manager after manager.
    The group of senior players thing pisses me off. And it passed off Hojberg when Conte accused the players of not putting it in. Hojberg wasn't in that click of Kane, Son, Dier, Lloris at the time. The fans wanted him out because they took a dislike to him. Now i hear people saying we need a player like him this season. AND WE DO! We forced him out and couldn't see he was a good player. Now we accuse the board for not keeping a good enough squad. We forced out a player we needed and still need because, why????? Because collectively we're idiots and deserve the shit football and team we get. Sick of this BS. Santo was out manager we forced him out and attacked the board because Kane was trying to force his way out at the time. We need to stop fanboying for players over the club.

    All that manager wants to do is attack attack attack, why not bring on Dorrington and take off one attacking player and see the game out when it gets past the 80/85 minute mark? the more those players attack the more tired they become then it leaves the team weak and they can't defend. This has been a regular pattern, players being run into the ground, injured players coming back only to get injured again, Ange is a criminal and the sooner he goes the better i don't know why fans are still defending this guy when they wanted other managers out for less.

      @@leeeales1972 No bud. We didn't. There were 2 players who got injured from time to time (CCV and Hetate with knees), and one young new player from Japan who came in the 2nd year and who got hamstrings but never proved good enough to be first team worthy. Other than that we were golden.

    As a neutral I enjoy watching you play. Ange has said he will 'never' change his way of playing nor his in-game management. So wanting him to change in any way isn't listening to him. What you see is what you get. This is it...
    I also think the players are clearly being run into the ground in training and in games. The intensity is wearing over a season both mentally and physically especially if there is little rotation.
    The January transfer will be interesting, I say he needs the rest of the season...but results may hinder that.

    Ange should have brought on Bergval at the 8, Maddison at the 10, moved Johnson to left wing, Kulu to right wing. Lankshear on for Solanke last 15 mins who couldnt run. Forster must be replaced, he is embarrassing. Werner must be sent back to Germany. The players aren't playing as a team, too many selfish players with ego's. They also make dumb errors continually. Club must be sold and Levy and Ange must go. Son must be sold and Kulu or Romero as captain. Stop looking at the ground Ange, ffs.
