In addition to that it is also planned to launch a version for Nintendo 64 but it ended up being canceled for no apparent reason.

Definitely budgetary constraints. Konami ran into a near identical issue when they tried to release the Grinch game on N64. Cartridges were simply way more expensive to produce and manufacture than the CDs and GD-ROMs used for the PS1 and Dreamcast.

There was never any plan to release an N64 version. Blitz Games had already stopped N64 development by the time work started on this game. It was always PS1 lead, with Dreamcast and PC versions that used the same assets and the majority of the same code.

They just ported over the PS1 version to the Dreamcast with no enhancements whatsoever, aside from texture filtering, despite the fact that the Dreamcast is a whole generation ahead.

What's worse is that they tone down the lighting in the Dreamcast version, making the Dreamcast version too dark, for that I'd say the PS1 version is better.

The most notable difference is the lighting that decreases considerably and that the game is adapted to a SEGA Dreamcast controller.
