Perfect video 🤘 I really do live and shoot this way and it took me two years of making myself shoot street for at least an hour every day to really stumble into them all. But you're bang on-- this is the way. I hope someone watching is just like "ok, I'll do that." They may have never got there otherwise and it's a straight up gift.
Great tips, Mike, very well presented and illustrated. It’s so easy to see that you use these ideas regularly, they are not just words, and that makes them more worthwhile. Thanks for sharing.
Great informative video ,it is so refreshing to hear you say that you do not always need to shoot in Manual mode ,i am a street photographer and want my camera on Auto ready so i dont miss a good shot ,
My new inspiration is a new lens. Old lens broke. New lens is both weather sealed and F1.2 which gives new possibilities in the darkness we have this time of year. I normally stick to my old gear, but new gear can inspire 📷🤩👍
Another amazing video. I have been shooting for about 35 years, and I am just starting to get into street photography, largely thanks to your videos. Street photography is definitely out of my comfort zone. So, I just want to confirm something that you said in the video, just to make sure I got it right. You usually set on Aperture priority (and put the aperture f8 or so, shutter speed a 500 (or is it just minimum 500?), and then let the camera choose the ISO? Thanks! Sorry, it probably seems like an obvious question. By the way, I’ve bought the Lightroom presets from you (great), and I am trying to find a copy of your book somewhere (anywhere)! I’m in London every month or so, and I hope one day to run into you while I am out shooting.
Hey! Thanks for the comment - that means a lot. Yeah I typically shoot between 5.6 and f8 (or higher if the light is good). 500-2000 shutter speed and auto ISO yep. Thanks for buying the presets and I'm pleased you're liking them. See you on the street!
real easy mode is just throw on a 24mm or 21 get close and literally point and shoot but no one knows since they only listen to everyone saying 28 28 28 35 35 35mm ...
I haven't heared so much smart and productive tips on any street photography channel since ages.
Well done an thanks for sharing
You’re very kind! Thank you much.
Excellent assessment young man. Changed my prospective

Yep, totally makes sense - if you’ve got time to be extra precise then sure, shoot manual but I mostly stay in aperture priority.
Got the book and very pleased with it.
Things I love to hear! Thanks man!
