I went to their show in KY. The second set I've seen of theirs, in the last two years, both in KY. I'm from Cincy, so - naturally. Polica may have just presented the best performance, ever. period. This is "high-art" on an accessible, emotional... level.

Pro Tip: Those bottle masks are useless unless you continually douse the worker's mask with vinegar and wear swimming goggles. Otherwise, all the tear gas being kept in by your nifty 'craft time' bottle will blind you while you try to run from the cops. Oh, and a tightly wrapped shirt covering your breathing holes is much better than a worker's mask.
But it's probably better to encourage kids to be bright, hard working and socially conscious rather than hand them cute bandanas and romanticize protest.
Systematic change requires systematic catalysts (like better education, for example).

+Luke Johnson I honestly didn't see it as doing either - I thought it was just an interesting mashup between the intensity of the protest/riot police conflict, and the innocence/shelterednes of children. It's more relevant these days; we raise our kids that the world is a pretty place; they aren't educated on how police conflicts can go really wrong (e.g. sometimes they get angry and forget to use their words). Nowadays, if your home gets incorrectly raided by SWAT and you grab a gun to defend yourself, you either end up dead or in prison.
"...that's in far deeper shit than the U.S." cool, your country has problems. We're dealing with our own, so we don't really need the advice of an outsider.
