If you want to know how much drugs you are on, you fight a robot santa that shoots sausages, 3 owl judges called the fat lords for some reason even if they are not fat, a fish with robot legs (don"t know how), and a flying car engine that wants you dead in every runner game!

Bit dissapointed with the lack of symbolism in the final boss that the rest of the games had large amounts of.
This game makes CommanderVideo look more like a "hero", but honestly, he's only a man. They also call the bosses "villains". This could have a hidden story, though.
Maybe we just aren't looking hard enough.
Honestly something about the part where Timbletot stops directly attacking you intrigues me, it seems as if he is trying to run away from Commamder Video.
His facial expressions even go from being angry to nervous & scared.
Justin Mack could be an interesting plot
@@icantthinkofagoodname.3983I think it’s because timbletot is realizing that none of his attacks are even getting the commander, so he tried to fleas, only to get hit by 3 powerful rockets in the end. I know this comment is 5 years old but just gonna say what I think

Apparently other people think so too. Pizza Tower had the same mechanic, and its bosses are really good according to the community.

They played how they wanted to I guess. In this game there isn't really a perfect path, there are many choices.

Jake Nichols Seeing how fate comes after this is really a sudden change of mood as Runner was more happy and bouncier with the environments, and in Fate, everything suddenly goes dark and there’s a sense of hopelessness and the inevitable happening (Death)

Maybe, runner 3 is somewhere in Fate, where Video has time to show to femVideo, how to go inside their power (this is the same story with Super Meat Boy is somewhere in Runner 1)

I agree so much. The ideas are interesting, but the fights themselves are very lacking. Fishleg boss, for instance, had no final phase whatsoever. You could do so many interesting things with this creature - but...cmon...really?...

I have played some Bit.Trips.
And I didn't understand a shit about them at all.
@@tadeogomez7303 the story in them is a lot deeper and open go interpretation, but the general idea is the story of commander video's birth, him learing what it means to be alive, learning of the world and those who wish to harm it, learning of anger and that love can only get you so far, and his death and return from where he came. The gameplay helps show the narrative and its something i never really picked up on while i was younger. Im not the biggest fan runner 2 took, going for a light hearted cartoony approach with less symbolism and a fully narrated plot with a whimsicle theme, but it didnt start to grow on me. I think runner 3 does take it a bit too far with its goofyness and humor, reaching juvenile levels with stuff like sausage santa being a remnant of late 2000s lol XD so random humor. I get runner was the most popular and deserving of a sequel but i hope they return to the other gameplay styles of the bit trip series and make more games there, or make new gameplay styles for future games, and tell deeper, more artistic stories rather than overplaying comedy and looking like a toddler cartoon.
