    I copped 2 pair over the last week. I love the look of the 34s but I will say these shoes are tight and that half size up is a must for me

    I believe the tabs on the sides is mainly for opening the throat of the shoe ones your taking the shoe off. Works flawless.

    I have this pair - went true to size - I think they fit perfect and are really comfortable. I dont play basketball but have been wearing them to the gym. Couldnt be happier.
    I did not have an issue using the top lace whole... maybe its different shoe to shoe but I have mine laced all the way up.

      How tough is the thin part in the hole at the bottom of the shoe? I wanna buy one for casual wear but afraid it would just snap

    Three weeks into quarantine and deep into these videos. This was a great one. The majority of my childhood memories of what I loved are basketball, basketball shoes, and basketball shorts (fat kid). Still have bought shoes and shorts throughout my life. Watching UA-cam reviews is NEW for me. You add another layer and nuance to this love and hobby. Totally appreciate these videos. I could define nostalgia when I was under 35. Could only feel it past-35. Your feed is hit after hit of that. The feed has led to the purchases of: the Seattles, Shadow 10s, 2020 Blackcat 4, and now the Blackcat 34. Lmao. Appreciated!! Nike brand needs consultants like yourself.

    The reflective semi circle tab on the tongue is supposed to represent an 'eclipse' a la 'Eclipse plate'

    • @mjo23dan
      @mjo23dan  5 років тому +1

      That seems to be the theme throughout the shoe

    • @Philosophisticated
      @Philosophisticated 5 років тому +1

      @@mjo23dan Yup.... I agree with your points though, they could have kept it clean... what would have looked cool is if they had the jumpman logo, jumping over the 'eclipse' (in another colorway though). When it comes to the lack of materials, I think they were trying to go for 'as light as possible, guys' so they cut back on extra padding.

    I tried on my actual size (9.5) and could barely get my foot in. I also made the mistake of only trying on the left, when my right foot is slightly bigger. I purchased the size 10 without trying on the right shoe in store (🤦🏽‍♂️) and when I put it on at home, my right toes were jammed into the toe box. Long story short, I’m taking them back for a size 10.5 or my money. They run very small, especially if I have to get a 10.5, which I’ve never worn.

    Jordan 34 is more of synthetic materials because MJ himself said he wants to have a design back to the court. It means he wants a shoe that he would've wear if he is still playing in the nba. It is a performance sneaker and they made it lightweight and comfortable as possible for basketball. The creases on the cushion is bothersome and I dont know if how it would look after having them for a year or two.

      I thought the micro mesh played an integral part in the inspiration for the 34. I didn’t think 31-33 looked like their counterparts but definitely took elements from those shoes.

    It doesn't make sense at all, jordan brand forcing more effort for 33 to become techy sneaker, and for me that effort was flawlessly worth, but for 34 seems jordan brand only playing in comfort zone and running out if ideas..

    • @mjo23dan
      @mjo23dan  4 роки тому

  • @sdawg4834

    I like the looks but there is one thing I'm a little disappointed on. I thought there wasn't much of a nod to the Air Jordan 4. The 31, 32, and 33 did a pretty good job of giving previous models the stylistic complements of older models.

    • @sdawg4834

I don't hoop in my Js just rock them so I would kefir how they feel to play in! That's a dope colorway so it was a must have for me! Nice video man

    Your cons sound like you're just tryna find something. The lines in the phylon are good! It means it's compressing properly. You can have that boost looking foam or you can have this

    • @mjo23dan
      @mjo23dan  4 роки тому

      Basketball shoes never had this look though. My point is they now use softer phylon to accommodate for comfort

    • @sevenstar144
      @sevenstar144 4 роки тому

      @@mjo23dan that's what I'm saying. Basketball shoes with polyurethane or the harder phylon didn't compress and after a bunch of games your feet would be tired. Not a problem for rich pros but for me I'm happy to play all day without foot pain

    • @mjo23dan
      @mjo23dan  4 роки тому +1

      The Blue Marvel there are other ways to make the shoe aesthetically pleasing. I just don’t like seeing my sneakers creased out the box. But that’s me. I’m sure you as well as others have a different opinion. One thing I do for additional comfort is swapping out the insole.

    I revisited this video after buying 3 different colorways of the 34. I am very happy with them. So light and comfortable. Surprisingly good ankle stability as well. The 33 SE and the 34 got me back in the mix after being away for a while. HOWEVER...I am very disappointed with the latest colors, specially the amount of pink used and an outright LGBTQ flag on an otherwise nice pair of white/silver model. Love the channel. Keep it up. Screw the haters.

    Tried Jordan 34 in store, it felt good on my feet and somehow good looking however I was quiet disappointed because the design is too simple for its price and also the padding on each sides of the shoes were so thin... I felt it might snap and kinda felt it needed more padding!

  • @jstronberg87
    @jstronberg87 5 років тому

    The last hole at the top is that tight so that people who wear their shoes untied (which many do) will stay in place
    It seems like all of your “cons” were u just looking for anything to say.. u cannot see your foot through the side mesh 😂, and if the shoe didn’t crease somewhat on the sole it would take away much of the cushion which was obviously created for BASKETBALL.. comon man

    • @mjo23dan
      @mjo23dan  5 років тому

      Appreciate your opinions but nobody is 100% happy with the shoe as is otherwise we wouldn’t be having our own opinions and be happy with just anything they put in front of us. I believe there are opportunities to correct design elements of a shoe. That’s what Nike had tried to appropriate when the Nike Kobe Protro line was introduced.
