We are a team of volunteers from different cities. We are for an environmentally friendly (respectful) attitude to nature! The initiative of our team is the creation of a mobile squad of qualified environmental divers for cleaning water bodies.
The starting stage is the unique lakes of the Southern Urals: Kisegach, Elovoe and Chebarkul (a meteorite fell in it in 2013). To implement this project, we need finances to collect important technical equipment and get to even the most inaccessible polluted places, fix and clean them.
Why are we doing this?
Environmental problems at the present stage of development of human society are global in nature, and among the many environmental problems facing modern society, the problem of preserving clean water is very relevant. In the Chelyabinsk region, there are 3,748 lakes.
Important components of our project are the involvement of people in volunteering, increasing the environmental awareness of the population, and training in the careful management of nature. "Purely not where they clean, but where they do not litter."
Purpose: To improve the ecological condition of the water bodies of the Chelyabinsk region and to draw public attention to the problems of water pollution and environmental volunteering.
Project Objectives:
Task No. 1: Reducing the level of pollution of water bodies in the Chelyabinsk region with man-made garbage
Task No. 2: Development of the environmental volunteer movement in the Chelyabinsk region
Task No. 3: Improving the environmental literacy of the population of the Chelyabinsk region, forming a careful attitude of children and youth of the Chelyabinsk region to nature in general and to water resources in particular
What are we doing and what are we going to do?
* Volunteer training: In Chelyabinsk, we conduct free educational trainings and environmental-oriented games with the assistance of the dash club Kashalot, the UralKayak and SapBordUral communities.
* Eco-teams of divers: We have formed a team of experienced divers who love to immerse and combine business with pleasure. At every opportunity, even in winter extreme dives, we lift from the bottom of the net, abandoned tires and bottles.
* Collection of geo-data from the population on the real environmental situation in water bodies: We will be grateful if you follow the link at the bottom of the page and fill out the questionnaire. So we will see the state of water resources firsthand.
* Assistance in the development of research in the field of environmental protection: we cooperate with relevant ministries, institutions and scientific communities. We also help to raise sunken objects of historical and geographical importance from the bottom.
Of course, our current work is extremely important, but in cases of serious pollution or inaccessibility of the treatment site, we will need "heavy artillery". For high-quality monitoring and professional safe lifting of accumulated debris, we need our own eco-bot with a minimum set of research tools and equipment for working in depth.
What is already there?
* The best place to start a large and useful project is Lake Chebarkul (the site of the fall of the Chelyabinsk meteorite), Bolshoi Kisegach and Elovoe;
* Resources (tents, rugs, field kitchen) for holding a large environmental camp (August 2020, 14 days) for cleaning water bodies.
* Educational, practical and professional programs aimed at improving the state of water resources;
* And our wonderful volunteers who are actively involved in the project and its development are residents of Chelyabinsk and the Chelyabinsk region
How much money is needed and what will they go specifically for?
We are raising funds for the organization of professional "heavy artillery", which will cope with any inaccessible and bulky garbage or small garbage in large quantities.
The most expensive part of the project is an ecological pontoon dive bot for delivering divers to any point of the water resource, diving directly above the pollution point, towing the cargo lifted from the bottom to the shore for subsequent disposal. We collect the dive bot with our own hands, which significantly reduces costs. Payload 1750 kg.
