    People in these comments suffer from the same damn disease, selective memory. I didn't hear this contempt for Jordan era trash talkers. If the kid can ball and back it up, let him be. Political correctness annoys me, most of the old school ballers you looked up to talked shit. Sign of the times when everybody has to be buddies or they assault your character.

      +Corey Marshall No one is saying that trash talking is the worst thing ever. But it seems like he in particular does it in a way that is so flagrant to the point he will receive a lot of techs for it. And if he caries that same habit with him to the next level (college basketball) then he may have some trouble making the adjustment.

    Steph Curry is Steph Curry because he makes a HIGH PERCENTGE of difficult shots. You can't tell that from a mix tape showing highlights. At MISS St he's shooting 38% from 2 and 30% from 3, and a whopping 54% from free throw lol. I wonder if he's still talking shit?? Maybe this kid should have focused on shot selection in high school and less on trash talking.

    • @JohnSmith-by5yi
      @JohnSmith-by5yi 9 років тому +2

      Ben simmons is as skilled as any guard in the class with kevin durant size unrivaled in his class IMO. Briscoe is better than blakeney because hes as skilled and stronger than blakeney (and newman for that matter), blakeney is more athletic but briscoe has a more complete game and as for Malik, he is the best pure scorer in a while but basically the point is that as far as big men go they are always gonna be rated higher than guards at this level because good big men are typically more valuable than good guards in college but I think Brisoe is better than blakeney atleast.

    • @anthonydavis3418

      If u want to why they are underperforming, its because college basketball is all about team basketball. Taking 5 or 6 dribbles and then pulling a contested three is not how the college game works. Also the fact that they are freshman, and the transition to college basketball is on another level compared to highschool. Most college basketball players develop at different rates. It may take Malik and Antonio 2/3 maybe even 4 years to perform at their peak levels, and even then, they may be second round bound.

      Goddrew Wiggins Thanks for agreeing with me that having confidence when going to a level where literally everyone else there has it isn't a redeeming quality. His shitty attitude on top of his poor physical tools and limited game equals a short career in the NBA.

    Anyone who is complaining about trash talking ... Get over it. Trash talking is a part of sports in general at multiple levels. Judging the kid and making assumptions about his character off the court because of what he does on the court is just plain dumb. Stop it. Just cause you never played or never did it when playing doesn't mean that he can't. He can do what he wants

    He'll have to change his style of play to be able to play in the nba. He's 6'3" with 6'4 wingspan. That's extreme undersize. The only way he succeeds at the nba level is if he adds few inches plus automatic jumpshot and elite slashing ability. It's tough for him.

    he jumps pretty high on his jumpshot, gonna need to tune that up for the jump to the NBA. Jimmy Fredette comes to mind of a high jump shooter who killed in college but couldn't make the transition. but this kid is also a lot bigger than he is, history shows however that high jump shooters don't do that well at the highest level
