- Watch me take on my first competitive Motocross race with some of the boys! The Cache Valley Worcs race was an awesome challenge, and put on a cool event! The racing didn't go as planned after an early injury, however it was still a good learning experience
Desert racing was some of the funniest racing, started in 250 beginner class for 2 years, then moved to open class novice for 5 years. A few trophies. Then raced open amateur for 2 years and finally went to senior veteran. Have fun I did, best advice I can give for getting faster is ride as much as possible! I also rode with amateurs and pros whenever possible.
Good job for your first race. I’ve been racing 51years and I still felt like a novice on the first lap. I just try to keep off the brakes and use the throttle with care. Still, there were times when I was just a passenger as the bike went wherever it wanted. It was still fun, and I plan on giving it another try at the National Grand Prix Championship series race at Cache in August.
It's definitely good to hear that it wasn't a walk in the park for everyone else! It definitely was fun, and I would love a redemption ride at that race in August as well!

You did great, it's that evil handling Honda that got you! I was there and it was slick as ice in a lot of spots. You washed out a bunch. Maybe your forks are too stiff, but you can ride. Good job! Get a KTM, hahaha!
Hahaha thanks for saying that. KTMs are sweet, but I'm a Honda man! I'm going to start with different tires first, then keep searching from there. The stock AT81s have not been my favorite.
It was my first race too it was rough I blew a bunch of corners the flat was my strong point but the mud was hard I struggled first time in the mud and I I didn't have 100% control
Yeah it was tough for sure! Even if I wasn't riding careful to try not to injure my knee further, I would've still struggled!
