Hi Matt! Great episode! I love how you are at the same time professional, passionate, funny, and very personable! Making dinner plans while all of us listen in, was a great "in" into your life and made this podcast really fun! Not being a film maker and certainly not being much of a professional photographer at all, doesn't stop me from getting value out of your podcast because so much of what you talk about is applicable to all of us that are seeking to make some valuable changes in our lives!! Can't wait to see what the project with Josh and Ryan turns out to be. and what else you will be doing now! It might seem that you are taking a big risk but given how talented you are, focusing on what you are passionate about just seems the "right" thing to do!! So how about your own Patreon campaign?? I gladly support The Minimalists and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one that would also become a Matt D'Avella supporter!

Thank you so much for making this film which has not only changed my life for the better but also saved my marriage as well. Would love to see a followup film, like another listener suggested, showing the life of a minimalist. Ryan, Joshua and yourself have a wonderful message beyond minimalism - the five identified higher order values. For me, minimalism has made me realise how lucky and privileged I am being born in the 1% of the world (ie. first world with sufficient income) and that it really is my moral duty to give back (Peter Singer - the most good you can do, and the one percent solution). So along with health, relationships, growth and creativity, a focus for me is now contribution. You guys have a fabulous platform with which to educate everyone about how the first world is just so rich and that we have the capacity to give back and literally change the world. Keep creating...... please..... :)

I can't thank you enough for this particular episode of your podcast. I am actually in (have been in) the same situation. I work a freelance job to support my art making and well, life, in general. I have been considering quitting the freelance job (not art related), which is not a bad job at all, albeit not super exciting anymore and concentrate on art making full time. But I'm just really scared that I won't be able to pay the bills and I will never be able to make money for my art ( I don't even want to think about making money while working on it). And I'm not a young person anymore...so, yeah, scared.
Also, I didn't really believe in the law of attraction either...but I've been making Vision Boards since 2016 just to give it a try. I can't say I'm a firm believer yet, but I would encourage anyone to give it a try if there's something that want in life. I totally agree with Matt about how there is something about putting something you want out there into the ether and letting yourself know. You might be pleasantly surprised. At least you will know much more clearly what you want.

Cool to watch your first videos. You speak well in all your youtube vids and have the balls to answer your Mrs during a podcast
