Evil B is as close to Hyper D as we will ever get.
In 1996 he sounded similar to Hyper D, as did MC Kray Z B with Skibadee. But every MC has their own influences. What made Evil B great was he was able to adapt and move on from that. Stevie Hyper D was a legend, however, he could bust the Ragga flow and sing. No MC has been able to do all those things simultaneously. I am not knocking Evil B because he and Eksman are the real deal at the moment. Music, lyrics and MCs have progressed.
