I could now wait for this video to be uploaded. I love watching your videos there great and all your rc's look so amazing proble the best looking rc's on youtube.Keep them coming
Thanks ! Salt give very interesting results, in a next vid I'll show my upgraded technique water+salt. I didn't lock the front diff yet, I'll run it stock one time… but I'll lock it for sure. I'm more a crawler than a racer :)
Love the build, can't wait for the next video. Why did you paint the bode with metal colours if you then painted white and orange over it? Will you be dirtying down the chassis to match the body?
Wow, that looked really good! I liked your choice of colours too. Is that an impact wrench sound in the background? Nice touch; felt like you were really working in a garage. Or were you? Keep up the awesome work!
You Rock..You make it look so easy.. How long does it take you from start to finish on a project like this? I had no idea salt would do that.. Nice job Thanks, Asplenia
Thanks you! The problem is that i'm from brazil, and i think fastrax didn't ship to here, ebay ships but I didn't find cool led lights in ebay like in fastrax :/ thanks for aswering me!

I can see a dent in the roof of the VW Baja body. Cool!
For making this, how did you make dents? Did you just force it inside out? More importantly though, what techniques, paints, brushes (if any) did you use for the weathering and rusting effects? Do you have a video for that stuff yet? And any tips for where knowing good places to paint weathering effects on the bodyshell?
Dents : gently warm the plastic with a soldering iron or lighter (always move the heat source, you don't want to burn the shell) from the inside and push with a tool from the outside. Weathering : I must make videos about that! There are so many techniques, if you start from scratch you can obtain nice results with weathering and wash kits from Lifecolor, Vallejo… For example my low and rusty 67 beetle was weathered only with the Lifecolor kit. Hope this helps
I came across this page that has downloadable pdf files of vintage stickers and decals for Tamiya kits. I thought maybe you could use this as a reference or for templates. classic.rc-junkies net
Just amazing! Huge VW fan myself and this makes me want to get one even more now just for this body. Very well done. Kudos!
Really enjoy your filming style, the different camera angles really add to the video. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, of course more videos are coming, glad you enjoy them :)

Been waiting for this vid! Amazing work man! Love the sand and paint combo! And I love how you made those rims pop with silver paint.
Great job sir.
Thanks! This project is not very long to build as I keep the car intact… it's just body fitting & painting. Took me about 6h so far.
I just dropped dead at that amazing idea. That looks phenomenal!
Thanks ! The orange paint is from "Motip", a brand of paints for 1/1 cars. I'll check and give you the exact ref.
Thank you ! Glad you like it
Thanks ! I put metal under the color so scratches will reveal the metal (I hope). Chassis is now dirty… you can see it now in my next video :)

A question:
Why did you remove some parts off the VW Baja body?
Very nice!
Merci! Content que ça plaise :)
Salut à toi ! La carro est la Sand Scorcher de Tamiya. Elle est en plastique, l'effet métal est obtenu après peinture.
