Nice little truck bud👍 you can for sure run parallel batteries. You should turn your rest upper pivot balls in a bit so your rear camber isn't negative. Don't get stainless hardware they strip like butter absolutely useless. All the "stainless" screw kits online like eBay and amain ect are not real stainless they are an aluminum mix. I've been building rigs for over 20 years I've gone through so many junk "stainless" screws I swore them off. They fine for small plastic stuff but for chassis bolts motor mounts ect they are junk. I order titanium screws is all different sizes direct from China and it ends up being cheaper than those screw kits on eBay. 👍👍
I am running dual 2s lipos on my stock 1/16 summit. I haven’t had any issues. Seems to stay pretty cool. How are the rpm carriers compared to stock or aluminum?
@@GamingandMusicwithGuy I saw that but never understood why and have been curious. The voltage is identical when ran in parallel so I couldn't understand their reasoning. I have been running mine like this for months.
@@justincuellar5651 No idea. I don't mess around with Lipo safety and whatnot, so when the guide specifically says not to run 2 in parallel on an XL 2.5, I don't do it.
I have had all sorts of rc over the years. 90 size helis, 1/5 scale, 1/8 scale, 1/10 scale... had it all. This summit is by far the worst. It is just not durable. I run it with a single NIMH battery and it still comes apart every single time I turn it on. After the next shipment of parts its going up on the marketplace. Complete garbage.

Very clean very badass
Put a hobbywing 1060 esc in, you can run 4s on that motor, I have it in my scx10ii. Crazy amount of torque
Good job. A kick ass RC
That is one big ass motor in that 1/16
It's the same, or very close to the same size of the Traxxas 12T brushed motor.
But, yeah, It's got some power.

Is this pretty much drop in? From the original brushless motor?
When did these 1/16 summits get sold out?
Just buy a 1/16 e-revo 4x4 vxl or a 1/16 slash 4x4 vxl and upgrade the suspension to a summit. All 3 use same chassis just different suspension
Yeee
Why couldn't you run the batteries in parallel? It's just doubling the MAH without affecting voltage
Traxxas specifically warns against using the adapter with it. It's not the MAH to worry about, it's overvolting the ESC.

@@justincuellar5651 the question is though, Are you running a VXL esc or an XL 2.5 one?
@@GamingandMusicwithGuy XL2.5
