No. That's what happens when you give it to the fans and let them turn it into a popularity contest. Here's my attempt at an objective dream team: S: Giannelli (duh) MB: Kochanowski, Pajenk OH: Leon, Michieletto OP: can't decide, nobody really stood out. Might as well be Nimir L: Kovacic It just makes me angry, because these players really deserved to be recognized for the wonderful tournament they played, but you decided to be cheap and turn it into an Internet poll. Shame on you.

And there should be objective criteria that help identify those players. Officials picking the all star team is never perfect, but this is 100 times worse.

ropret is one of the best setters there is. just because giannelli won mvp doesn't mean he's leagues above him. they are both high quality players and each are better in their own way. you're the joke here

I know Ropret is a good setter, I like him so much, especially I like how he wisely chooses his hitters (for example how he used his middles during the final). But in this tournament Giannelli played better, this is an empirical truth (which explains the win).

Joke team. What's the point of fan voting? If you put there a one Turkish player of each position you will have a Turkish national team as a all star team. It's a popularity team. Even MVP of the tournament it's not there. Basing on performance it's should be: Giannelli Kochanowski(best middle blocker of this tournament, very good serve, attack and block), Pajenk/Kozamernik Nimir/Stern, depends on whether to choose from any team or from the top 4 Leon, Michieletto Kovacic

These players are just the fan favorites. The only real and official award on this competitionis the MVP which Giannelli got. But all of these players did a great job. 💯 Let us all be a good supporters and don’t spread hate for a better volleyball world.
