Even if this is a very experimental release, I'd say ankkoop never disrespected its audience, never rusher or botched, they still deliver a standard as if they were the listener themselves. And I like it, one can say they are reflecting on where to draw the line between the pure egotrip (aka "fuck the audience I don"t need no audience) and the search for a broader audience. Appreciate this record anyway, it's a necessary milestone in the ankoop musical journey.
I love the climax you reach on Perspective Shift 13:50, when those keys enter to raise the whole thing to the top before it gets back to the melody. Great composition skills.
💯 When an album shifts your perspective, it's more than just a collection of songs-it becomes a powerful experience. This album is definitely their least accessible, but that's part of what makes it so intriguing. It challenges you to dig deeper and really sit with it.
Actually, we have that Nile Rodgers' sound on some of our earlier releases (Alone Together, Seal Your Future, and Éternel Retour). We were listening to a lot of Chic back then. The use of a custom Stratocaster Hitmaker by Red Lizard 🦎 (@redlizard2985) really helped us nail that vibe! It's funny for us to see those sounds coming back with Parcels because we had to move on and experiment, but that sound still defines the core of Ankoop. Some call it old-fashioned-I call it timeless.
Tbh this Is their most experimental release along with "Enlinghtenment". Still got that magical guitar solo from 02:57 and fine songwriting from 14:37. Great album, not for everyone.
The wah-wah from 15:30 is just pure bliss, this is floating, like we are all floating, in levitation within the universe, on a small sphere of concrete (mainly water though) called Earth. Thanks for the trip Ankoop.
The Wheel of Life sounds like a vydia game music, but in the end you got this "beeep noise", we all know that noise in a way. Life & Death are interlaced. I think I get it now. Subtle. Thanks.
That ending really hit me-it made me realize just how short life truly is. Listen to that beep at 27:40 : that's the very last musical melody every human hear.
Ankoop always has this perfect imperfection dont try to calibrate too much or trying to hide the flaws, Keep going and as the saying goes "No matter what they say"
We sure hope so too! Some tracks are pure fun to produce, while others are more challenging, but we always enjoy the process. Glad you're enjoying the result-that's what makes it all worth it! Then we Can connect and discuss all that so...thanks for commenting.
Thank you for the kind words! We’re humbled. It definitely has its flaws-perfection is out of this world, but we poured everything we had into it from start to finish. Definitely our most spontaneous release. Appreciate the support!
At least we got your view and your comment, thanks a bunch! We've been hard at work-"Infinity" is set to release in Q4 2024, and Turmoil, a collab with @MichaelCastelMusic, is coming in Q1 2025. Expect twenty (more or less) of our best tracks, and our partner Red Lizard (@redlizard2985) will be part of this adventure too. More tunes than ever before are definitely on the way!
I think this is an incomplete release, with gems here and there, touch of genius, but also blatant lack of collaboration to do it 100%. Work has been done, to a certain extent. Go get that extra collab' you need to do it 100%. On hundred percent.
lmao this from hell track literaly comes from a tormented mind, appreciate the release at 23:42 though, wtf with the electronic sitar man? Get a real citar man? Never heard of Ravi Shankar?
Me after hearing the intro : don't judge a record by its cover
Me after hearing the solo on the second track : don't judge a record by its first track
It's an album that will be considered a classic.
The artist has a unique talent that is unmatched.

It's one of the best albums I've heard in years.
This album is a masterpiece from start to finish.

The album is a great soundtrack to my life.
I love the climax you reach on Perspective Shift 13:50, when those keys enter to raise the whole thing to the top before it gets back to the melody. Great composition skills.
This album is a masterpiece of modern music.
It's an album that has changed my perspective on life.

The guitarist is like Niles Rodgers...love it.

The album is a great introduction to the artist's music.
Tbh this Is their most experimental release along with "Enlinghtenment". Still got that magical guitar solo from 02:57 and fine songwriting from 14:37. Great album, not for everyone.
These gems are Under the radar...those guys are talented.
The wah-wah from 15:30 is just pure bliss, this is floating, like we are all floating, in levitation within the universe, on a small sphere of concrete (mainly water though) called Earth. Thanks for the trip Ankoop.
OK this is 2021 you guys switched so quickly from one style to another, maybe that's the strength of being a duo.
The artist has exceeded all expectations with this album.
The Wheel of Life sounds like a vydia game music, but in the end you got this "beeep noise", we all know that noise in a way. Life & Death are interlaced. I think I get it now. Subtle. Thanks.

PLEASURE IS KEY...
Nice slapping on Oaxaca man, sounds like Marcus Miller, medium sound without being overwhelming
Sounds like Santana soloing over Marcus Miller. Too bad the rest of the song sounds quite empty in comparison.
The album is a great way to discover new music.
It's an album that will be talked about for years to come.
We want MOARRRRR !

They produced that from 2011...nice longevity.
Longevity like this doesn't happen by accident. They never disbanded. Maybe because the band's name means something like "collaborate" in Dutch
I can tell they took some pleasure to create those albums.
Absolutely! We had a blast creating those tracks. It means a lot to us that you can hear it. Thank you.
I would write some lyrics on some of those tunes.
The vocals are powerful and emotive.
This album is simply perfect.
It's an album that I can't stop listening to.
The album is a great way to relax and unwind.

No psychedelics were harmed during the recording of this record lmao
The album's message is inspiring.
It's a breath of fresh air in the music industry.
An imitation of an imitation of an imitation of an imitation. See where I'm going ? lol
This album is a work of art.
Thank you for the kind words! We’re humbled. It definitely has its flaws-perfection is out of this world, but we poured everything we had into it from start to finish. Definitely our most spontaneous release. Appreciate the support!
It's a beautiful and moving piece of art.
Please, NEVER STOP.

It's an album that will change the way you listen to music.
The melodies are catchy and memorable.
My favorite tracks are Oaxaca and Perspective Shift
Those are the two "jams" song recorded live but the other ones are more structured, giv'em a listen.
This album is the best thing I've heard all year.
The artist is a true inspiration.
Such a banger album
Nice for a background music.

Wow, I LOVE IT.
i wish they had more stuff coming...
Electro, rap, rock, 8-but, synthwave...very varied.
I like the covers of the albums. You used Photoshop ?
This Fromm Hell song just sounds disturbing man, the electric sitar, the indian percussions, wtf man clear your mind.
The album is a perfect representation of the artist's style.
This album is definitely their most experimental yet, but it doesn't fully capture the range of their sound.
How the hell you don"t have a singer for thid Dedication song?
Each time I hear one of your album, reminds me of the Milky Way.
I think this is an incomplete release, with gems here and there, touch of genius, but also blatant lack of collaboration to do it 100%. Work has been done, to a certain extent. Go get that extra collab' you need to do it 100%. On hundred percent.
Dedication sounds like daft punk get luckky i get the influence, where is farell man?
They had last melodies back in the days.
Career is long...
Hmmm...no views...I was 100 % sure !
Still a duo ? it seems they have a singer now...hmmm let see how it turns out.
New release for when ? we are waiting...
Are they going to produce drafts or albums ?
Pretentious music recorded for a happy few.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
Why be good at many things when you can be mediocre at just one, right?
I've been said they Don't produce anything anymore...just checking.
New stuff coming or not ?? Ankoop please tell us.
lmao this from hell track literaly comes from a tormented mind, appreciate the release at 23:42 though, wtf with the electronic sitar man? Get a real citar man? Never heard of Ravi Shankar?
I've been told they use MANY INSTRUMENTS.
