What I hate is the freeze they give you if you get stunned. You get hit with a Wilder power right hook and you lean back with your guard up and your fighter is stuck standing still unable to move.

btw: it's not only the cut to 8 rounds! They also "cheat" with the timer. The first seconds are running down normal but as soon you don't spend attention to the timer anymore, the speed up the counter and slow down again close to end of the round. They want to speed up the time per session because of the casual gamers...

What you described at 4:20 had me wondering if it was my controller until it happened a few more times. Man, they must have done some horrible closed testing because this was not there during pre-release. It took me 1 fight to notice it, 2 fights to realize it was a bug...

I’m fully on agreement with you. Here are a few things that I think can make the game better and more fun for everyone. Fix the ghost punching More punches need to connect when they have legitimate openings, instead of throwing punches that makes no sense to a professional boxer… Like throwing jabs and hooks above opponents heads that would clearly land in most situations or punches just completely stopping mid animation as if the game decided, you need to miss these punches… just because. These punches should be like layups. POWER SHOTS……. Should be limited per round OR Should take major overall stamina depletion 3-5% per punch if abused, misused, and/or miss….OR Make the countering system more rewarding for those who counter power shots properly. Like countering power hooks, overhand, should do 20-35% more and would essentially make spamming more prone to stuns, flash knock downs, and one hitter quitters. Add an adrenaline rush for countering 4 to 5 power shots in a round, that last 5-7 secs. Again reward good clean boxing!🥊 PUNCHES…. Make uppercuts snap necks back more and have a unique sound effect for them. More snap in hooks and straights, with better animations(more hip) and not over-exaggerate. Some characters get stiff when throwing punches. Allow us to throw punches while holding RT or R2 (PLEASE) OR ATLEAST ADD THAT TO CONTROLLER CONFIGURATIONS. Replace the punches that simply do not look authentic to boxing. Reward the players that box properly. Box properly and your power shots become more effective, and you retain more stamina, and combinations become more deadly, especially against spammers!! STUNS…….. It’s way too difficult to finish an opponent with this rubber ball, bouncing off the opponent system. Which is essentially just pushing. That’s why clenching is necessary. Pushing someone off when you’re already gassed is so unrealistic. That should penalize stamina even more just for pushing. WBC Arena…… Remove the cameraman!! Player SFX Add more sound effects and grunts. The ones that are currently in the game are not good. It sounds like they’re taking a 💩. And everyone has the same sounds FX. FINALLY…… Rage quitters must take an L!!!! Give us dedicated players the W!!! Show player DNF percentage & let us choose whether we want to fight them Pair them up with other rage Quitters!! And allow players to choose what side they want to fight on, or allow everyone to fight from the left side because of the advantage that comes along with fighting from the left side!!! And allow us to choose whether we want to box someone with a bad connection or NOT. Online synchronization must e address!!! These are just of few of many observations I have for this game.

Sometimes at the start of the round my fighters movement speed is significantly decreased. It’s like im walking through mud or something while my opponent is moving around full speed. It goes away after a little bit but does this happen to anyone else?

Got the game Friday. Spent Saturday learning the game and played one match online Sunday morning and realized it was gonna be some bullshit online. Dude was spamming power shots the entire time and the lag makes the shots turn into air bending punches . I eventually won by KO by timing his spam in the 8th round with a hook. This game has potential though but I agree 100%.
I’m glad we have a boxing game now , but damn does it suck … I can’t barely play it honestly … here are my gripes: 1. EVERYTHING feels laggy af 2. Punches are slow af 3. Power Punches are extremely slow 4. You cant move if you get hit, thus locking you into your opp’s combos 5. Slips and pulls are fukin useless … literally 6. The L3 stick press is useless and can not be executed consistently 7. Although player styles are different , the movement execution is the same… example: You will move the same with Lomenchancko as you will with another other boxer in his division , which is fuking stupid. 8. The stun system is broken 9. You cant move and dodge at the same time , UFC has this feature 10. You cant pivot 11. Stamina system is broken 12. You can’t effectively execute a stick and move strategy

I genuinely enjoy playing this game however I continue to adjust how i play once a spammer enters the ring and i spam them back. Either they take the loss like a man or they quit. Online is just the biggest problem with the game for multiple reasons. There are plenty of negative reviews about career mode also. They haven't improved that mode since early access.

I get people's complaints but these spammers are mostly low IQ dullards with no attention span, you can run away and hit them with a jab every now and then and they'll quit after 2 rounds. They're built for tik tool and UA-cam shorts so their tiny brains always short circuit over anything longer than 30 seconds to a minute.

100% agree. The power punches looks incredibly cartoony, and the stamina and spamming issues are breaking an otherwise very fun game. The controls are little bit stiff(maybe it's my ps4 controller?), but that's normal for such fighting games. Me and my buddy played the game last Saturday for the first time against each other and we outlawed power punches after about an hour of playing.
The scoring needs to be fixed as well, I played my first match yesterday online, I was khan and my opponent was Roy jones jr, I was piecing him up most the 4 rounds, I dropped him in the second round, he dropped me in the 3rd and I knocked him out with 2 drops in the 4th but somehow he was winning 9-10 on all 3 rounds for the score card

I’m a huge boxing fan and I’ve been waiting for a boxing game in a long time. But the more videos i watch of you guys talking about it, the more thoughts I have about buying it 🤦🏾♂️.
I have played the game when early access came out and played for a couple of months. During this time, I tried emulation to experience what fight night was and man that game is so much better than and a lot more fun to play compared to Undisputed. The sad fact is during the early access period, I was able to find games where people would actually come into box (most of the times atleast.) Fast forward to now, i decide to play the game after a long while since it has finally released. My god what have they done and been working on these past few months? Its truly a diservice : ( I honestly dont know if the game updates are going to fix the game... its just sad and if the game continues to stay like this I will not be playing this game again. Hopefully they are able to do something but until then I will be playing Fight night when I feel like playing a boxing game.
All yea brings me back to the good ole days of fight night. Trying to beat "steppers". Players all wanting to cheat and pic sugar Ray Robinson, then people wanting to pull the plug before they lose. Great times
I’ve had the pre-release version this whole time but then I had my son come over after the games official release. The dude whooped on me with unlimited power shots, no skill, just power shots.
I believe they should have multiples I thought UFC did a good job of that with their different tiers of time limit and time limit duration in their game with vale tudo k1 and UFC time lengths.... I would like to see where we could do your standard modern day rounds... But also have a call back to the days of the mid-1900s world championship fights for 15 rounds and also a call back to the bare-knuckle era fights could go for as many rounds as necessary and rounds only ended on knockdown and then finally a custom feature where you can customize your entire time and round format. Say if you want to do one round for 30 minutes..... With specific rules of no three knockdown rule no cut stop .... Or you do a 30-minute round we're first knockdown wins etc....
Finally someone talking truth, & them commentators be repeating the same thing too , those characters stiff for sure, character don’t feel like they supposed too… i enjoyed story mode too, in FNC.
After a lifetime of video game playing, I "retired" 4 years ago. Sports games just weren't advancing like I expected. Not sure why - maybe because I watch a lot of boxing vids - but one of your vids popped up on my feed. I think it was you (Jones Jr.) vs Froch. Great fight! This game has a lot of potential. It looks & moves so much better than Fight Night. The footwork is crazy! But yeah, they have some work to do. In addition to what you mention, they need to add an arcade mode for heads that want to slug for 8-12 rounds. A lobby for arcade, and one for simulation, so everyone can have their fun. And something has to be done with the camera. It's too herky jerky and has trouble keeping up with the great movement. Not sure if it's doable, but I'd like to see a stationary camera, allowing dynamic views of the fighters. I also haven't seen any clinching. Gotta add that. But this game looks good. Hopefully they get it right. I might have to grab a PS5.

Your coach gets a better rating when you have a great fight defense and offense is necessary or your coach is shit but yea they need to add mini games

Replace the punches that simply do not look authentic to boxing.
Reward the players that box properly. Box properly and your power shots become more effective, and you retain more stamina, and combinations become more deadly, especially against spammers!!

It’s way too difficult to finish an opponent with this rubber ball, bouncing off the opponent system. Which is essentially just pushing.
That’s why clenching is necessary.
Pushing someone off when you’re already gassed is so unrealistic. That should penalize stamina even more just for pushing.

Sometimes at the start of the round my fighters movement speed is significantly decreased. It’s like im walking through mud or something while my opponent is moving around full speed. It goes away after a little bit but does this happen to anyone else?

The games ass, I’m mad I brought it, & I still play FNC! The freeze with your hands up, the phantom punches….its cheeks! It looks AMAZING, but it’s still mid compared to Fight Night!
Exactly what is with that freeze? And the lean system is terrible. Fight night you could lean twice as far on either side and fire a counter punch off the line.

Got the game Friday. Spent Saturday learning the game and played one match online Sunday morning and realized it was gonna be some bullshit online.
Dude was spamming power shots the entire time and the lag makes the shots turn into air bending punches . I eventually won by KO by timing his spam in the 8th round with a hook.
This game has potential though but I agree 100%.
I’m glad we have a boxing game now , but damn does it suck … I can’t barely play it honestly … here are my gripes:
1. EVERYTHING feels laggy af
2. Punches are slow af
3. Power Punches are extremely slow
4. You cant move if you get hit, thus locking you into your opp’s combos
5. Slips and pulls are fukin useless … literally
6. The L3 stick press is useless and can not be executed consistently
7. Although player styles are different , the movement execution is the same… example: You will move the same with Lomenchancko as you will with another other boxer in his division , which is fuking stupid.
8. The stun system is broken
9. You cant move and dodge at the same time , UFC has this feature
10. You cant pivot
11. Stamina system is broken
12. You can’t effectively execute a stick and move strategy
Also, the window for countering power punches is too small. The window should be until the power puncher resets his body to neutral after he swings.
And that my friends is why I don't pay for any game until it's been out for at least a year.
I love this game but I only play career mode or exhibition.

Online is just the biggest problem with the game for multiple reasons. There are plenty of negative reviews about career mode also. They haven't improved that mode since early access.

They should implement a crew/guild/league system so spammers can play w/ spammers and boxers can play with boxers.
Or you can just whoop the spammers as a boxer, since it's a boxing game. I get people's complaints but these spammers are mostly low IQ dullards with no attention span, you can run away and hit them with a jab every now and then and they'll quit after 2 rounds. They're built for tik tool and UA-cam shorts so their tiny brains always short circuit over anything longer than 30 seconds to a minute.

I think if they made quick match 10 rounds and ranked 12... The game would play way better the spammers will be done... I do a pretty good job tiring them out but it's not fun playing someone who throws the same punch every time

Blocking is ok it's just power punches are overpowered and get through
100% agree. The power punches looks incredibly cartoony, and the stamina and spamming issues are breaking an otherwise very fun game. The controls are little bit stiff(maybe it's my ps4 controller?), but that's normal for such fighting games. Me and my buddy played the game last Saturday for the first time against each other and we outlawed power punches after about an hour of playing.

The scoring needs to be fixed as well, I played my first match yesterday online, I was khan and my opponent was Roy jones jr, I was piecing him up most the 4 rounds, I dropped him in the second round, he dropped me in the 3rd and I knocked him out with 2 drops in the 4th but somehow he was winning 9-10 on all 3 rounds for the score card

I have played the game when early access came out and played for a couple of months. During this time, I tried emulation to experience what fight night was and man that game is so much better than and a lot more fun to play compared to Undisputed. The sad fact is during the early access period, I was able to find games where people would actually come into box (most of the times atleast.)
Fast forward to now, i decide to play the game after a long while since it has finally released. My god what have they done and been working on these past few months? Its truly a diservice : (
I honestly dont know if the game updates are going to fix the game... its just sad and if the game continues to stay like this I will not be playing this game again. Hopefully they are able to do something but until then I will be playing Fight night when I feel like playing a boxing game.

I believe they should have multiples I thought UFC did a good job of that with their different tiers of time limit and time limit duration in their game with vale tudo k1 and UFC time lengths.... I would like to see where we could do your standard modern day rounds...
But also have a call back to the days of the mid-1900s world championship fights for 15 rounds and also a call back to the bare-knuckle era fights could go for as many rounds as necessary and rounds only ended on knockdown and then finally a custom feature where you can customize your entire time and round format. Say if you want to do one round for 30 minutes..... With specific rules of no three knockdown rule no cut stop .... Or you do a 30-minute round we're first knockdown wins etc....

After a lifetime of video game playing, I "retired" 4 years ago. Sports games just weren't advancing like I expected. Not sure why - maybe because I watch a lot of boxing vids - but one of your vids popped up on my feed. I think it was you (Jones Jr.) vs Froch. Great fight!
This game has a lot of potential. It looks & moves so much better than Fight Night. The footwork is crazy! But yeah, they have some work to do. In addition to what you mention, they need to add an arcade mode for heads that want to slug for 8-12 rounds. A lobby for arcade, and one for simulation, so everyone can have their fun.
And something has to be done with the camera. It's too herky jerky and has trouble keeping up with the great movement. Not sure if it's doable, but I'd like to see a stationary camera, allowing dynamic views of the fighters.
I also haven't seen any clinching. Gotta add that.
But this game looks good. Hopefully they get it right. I might have to grab a PS5.
