- Here is my second Steely Dan cover. I absolutely love this band and have grown up listening to them so its been such a fun and interesting experience covering this, I've produced/performed it all by ear and it has taken a while! Practicing and trying to get all the correct notes and production elements - I could've spent another month or year even, trying to perfect it, but I felt it was time to put it out now and there is no beating the original!!! Still, I hope I've done it justice and that you enjoy it! The music and video is all recorded, produced, performed and edited by me in my lil budget studio. Home At Last is one of the most perfect songs out there. I’m still trying to get the timing down in Chuck Rainey’s terrific bass line. But Kizzy tackles ALL the parts! Kudos!
The Purdie Shuffle is a bit tricky to pull off on a drum machine...but I adore this.
Easier than a regular drum kit though!
Kudos for your ability to play the Purdie shuffle on this, with fingers! A lot of drummers can't do it w/4 limbs. Nice cover!
