- The easiest way to get more blog traffic. If your blog isn't generating traffic, it's not the time to abandon it altogether. Instead, it's time to resuscitate it. There are over a billion blogs out there. How can you expect yours to stand out? Businesses with blogs experience twice as much email traffic as those that don't have one. Websites with a blog are shown to have 434% more index pages, meaning if you blog, your content will show up on searches which means more traffic. And according to HubSpot, marketers who prioritize blog marketing are 13x more likely to see a positive return on their investment.

So, what should you be doing when you want to get more of that beautiful traffic? Here are some simple strategies that just work. Before I go into it, though, I have a question for you. Have you heard of the site Quora? Think of it as a site that answers any question that you may have. And people search for questions a lot.
According to data in Ubersuggest, roughly 8.1% of all searches on Google are questions. That may not seem like a lot of searches. But to put it in perspective, roughly 8.5 billion searches take place on Google daily. If 8.1% of those are questions, that's roughly 688 million searches for questions a day. That's roughly 251 billion searches a year from people who are looking for answers to their questions.
Now, that's a lot of searches. With your blog, if you can answer all the popular questions that people are searching for, you can generate millions of visitors like Quora too. But unlike Quora, you won't want to answer questions on every topic. Instead, you should answer people's questions related to the industry you're targeting.
So for example, I own a ad agency called NP Digital. So, I would want to answer all the questions that people have related to marketing because that is what will help my company generate more customers. And if I answer the questions for people searching for marketing-related questions, it also helps them and it connects the dots, and hopefully, more people will turn to my ad agency NP Digital, where by the way, we are Agency of the Year.
But the real question is, how do you find all the popular questions that people are searching for within your industry? So, let's break it down.
- Step one, go to answerthepublic.com.
- Step two, type in the keyword related to your industry on AnswerThePublic. Keep in mind one to two-word phrases produce the best results.
- Step three, AnswerThePublic, will show you all the popular questions people will type in related to that term.
- Step four, I want you to take all the questions and Google them. So, look for all the ones that are related to your industry that you think people will be typing in. And AnswerThePublic sorts them by popularity. Take notes of all the ones that you Googled and look at that page, see what's good about them and what's bad, and make a note of it.
- Step five, I want you to start creating content that answers each question. Use what the competition does as a guiding point. Typically, if a page or a site is ranked high on Google, it means people like that content. Of course, you don't want to copy them. Instead, you want to one-up them and create even better content.
- Step six, create hundreds if not thousands of blog posts answering those questions. Each post won't generate that much traffic, but by having thousands of pages like this, it'll generate thousands of visitors, if not potentially millions, over time.
- Step seven, repeat this whole process using AnswerThePublic, but I want you to try other keywords related to your space. Just like how I typed in digital marketing as a keyword the first time. I may repeat the process for terms like marketing or SEO or even terms like an ad agency or performance marketing.
In essence, the list just goes on and on and on. And this is how you criticize the answers to thousands, if not millions, of popular questions over time. One thing to note about AnswerThePublic is that it's sorting questions by popularity.
So, the ones recommended typically are the most popular and are going to generate you the most traffic.

Wow, wow, wow.
Haven't seen a video like this.
The way you speak!!! Really professional.
Love you content, man!Thank you so much for this educational video!
Glad you like it :)
As an entrepreneur with a publication reaching over 500K+ visitors per month, I can tell you that although this is all great advice, it does not matter how great your content is, this will not bring "significant" traffic to your website. It is better to focus your time on creating EAT content based on keywords that your site can actually rank for (taking into account DA, Keyword difficulty, and niche competition within your industry). You'll grow faster. That is what took my website from 10K readers per month to 10K per day in like five months. Just my personal opinion after almost 6 years of building my publication from scratch. Cheers!
I totally agree, friend! It's definitely important to keep keyword difficulty in mind, and create quality content. However, answering questions is also a great way to build traffic. :)
Thanks. How much content did you produce?

Hi Neil Patel, just a question : I have opened up a site like 6 months ago but the Google Indexing is so slow, how do we speed up the indexing process
Submit a sitemap :)
@@neilpatel thanks
Thanks For Posting This Video. It's valuable a lot but Neil I have a question what to do when question has high search volume so that beginners can't rank?
What we should do: High Search Volume or Low Seach Volume ?
I'd create content on it, but also go after some low hanging fruit in other content. That way you can work to build the DA of your site to rank for that competitive keyword over time.
@@neilpatel ok sir. You mean I have to create backlinks that increases my domain authority
Am I right Neil Sir ?
Very educative video thank you for sharing;I came across your content in Google and am happy to find you here in youtube

Neil, can I ask guest posting for do-follow link or no-follow link because according to jonn Muller tweet, he says guest post for link building will be penalized. What about your thought?
I think guest posting is a fine way to get a backlink!
@@neilpatel yes, but can I ask do-follow or no-follow link from guest post?
Outstanding Information On How To Get Traffic Sir.

Hi Neil .... Sorry To disturb You man ... but i have a question : Should I learn everything in Digital Marketing or go with specific area
Pick a specific specialty :)
@@neilpatel thanks man
Thank you.
Great info!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Neil 🙂

Do I collect all the questions related to a topic in one article Or for each question, consider it as a keyword and make a separate article about it, even if it is not long enough؟
Depending on the length, you could do a pt. 1 and pt. 2. That way the people who read pt. 1 might come back for pt. 2, or after both are written, they will also go to pt. 2, thus spending more time on your website and google bots will see that people are clicking on more links on your website, hence you'll look better in Google's "eyes"
It depends! I'd do a Google search to see the type of content that's ranking for those keywords and that will give you an idea :)
@@neilpatel thank u..
The Best. Great work. best solution. Thanks You
Welcome 👍
But how do you know the answers in quora are the correct ones?
Why you dont monetize your youtube channel via Ads?
Congratulations!!
Thank you!!
Hi Neil.
Can you tell me the another way to generate the more traffic for my website.
Add a tool to your site. Tools typically generate higher levels of traffic.
Great info 🎉
Glad you think so!
Hello neil, Did you suggest guest post for link building but Google says it's unnatural link. Based on Jonn Muller tweet. Then how we build link?
Guest posting is fine for link building. It wouldn't be considered 'natural' but it will still still help your site's DA. neilpatel.com/blog/new-backlink-feature/
How long would you make each of those “answer” blog posts though?
It depends! Typically blogs are 1000-3000 words
Thank you
You're welcome

Link to your site and mention your site in relevant questions/responses.. Make sure it's done in a way that isn't spammy or promotional.

Hi Neil. We are an electronics retailer company and run a blog site with approx .5mn traffic a month. Almost 90% of the traffic is organic. Can you advice how to grow traffic faster on my site?
Write thousands of blog posts?! Time for a reality check Neal!
I'm not saying write thousands at once. It gives you tons of content ideas to write over time :)
You own AnswerthePublic now? Pretty cool. I hadn't been to that site in a while.
Yes I do! Thank you! :)
