Wait a second, that's a Tallneck behind you! I want a Tallneck! I'm sitting here with a Tremortusk behind me.
That four note part just before the orchestral section at the end is from the roguelite game Hades
The tallneck was such a fun build! I definitely recommend picking up that lego set.
fun fact: this song is by name and multiple fill examples a reference to video game Hades. Zagreus is main playable character and THE recognizable riff of the game is the chunky power chord fill you hear around 7:00 into the song
Oh cool! I haven't actually played that game yet, but i've heard so many great things about it.
I've been listening to these guys for over 10 years, and I still have the same reactions. "I hope it goes back to that weird chorus, but I don't know what is going to happen." This was so funny. I think that's how we all feel.
"It's weird, but I like it."
Periphery - Satellites is Spencer's best performance.
Periphery - Stranger things is a great track too
Periphery - Facepalm mute is super catchy and heavy
every time breathing in a new mentality pops up on my spotify daily mixes (almost every other day usually XD) i think of your intro. these two periphery songs were absolutely incredible though, ive listened to them both multiple times a day. i love the main riffs of this one but the chorus and jazz breakdown of wildfire have me hoooooooked. that heartbeat haunts me gets me wet every time
All their songs are great but if u want to see a different side to them I would do Lune or Scarlett. For a song that showcases Spencer's vocal range I would do Satellites
I've always unconsciously avoided Periphery for no particular reason. I realise now that was a mistake 😄
Feels more melodic than Wildfire while being heavy. Love this band!
check out omega by them
Man I've been loving these new singles from them. I'm not super well versed in their music but this new stuff sounds like a hybrid between their og djenty stuff Protest the Hero, and Ice Nine Kills and it's SO working for me. Super excited for the full album to drop!
Man Periphery 1 and 2 are literally two of the best djent/prog albums ever imo, both amazing from front to back. If you’ve never given those a listen I definitely would
