So why would I leave my Continent and come and lock myself in a cold snowy place? I am really thinking after seeing all these nice videos. God bless you Trumaya team🇬🇭
As a pescatarian for almost 4 years now, I truly thank you for this vlog, I would love to travel to Mozambique one day and try their foods.Great content Miss Trudy much love from US!!
It's called red snapper. And Mozambique has a big coastline therefore they will have seafood not fresh water like tilapia. Mozambique is a seafood buffet
I was told my ancestors given the surname BRUNO via Portuguese slave traders from Mozambique.Hope to visit soon.Bruno I'd like to liaise with you for my future visit
@@bobbye.wright4424 and billy wakwabi, we call this fish "garoupa", and the proper english name is "grouper". The "red snaper" is a cheaper fish than the grouper, and we call "vermelhao" ou "peixe vermelho" which is literally "red fish".

Well presented. I think West Africa needs to learn a lot from South East Africa. I am really impressed with how organised they are. Hygiene is to the max. West Africa please learn from Mozambique. Big up Miss Trudy. Presentation is on point.
Prawn are very big in Mozambique. Garilyado, and freitu both are cooked delicious. I haven't seen so many of sea foods of that high a quality anywhere as available in Mozambique. Not only this several species of birds are readily available. When I was there in 1982-83 we used to get even free from our colleagues who could hunt at their remote work sites.
That calamari and fish😋 . Maya has to promote Ghana, thats why every good food, is Ghana 😄 Miss Trudy you know the men are going to eat everything if you keep filming your footage. That's a nice experience to have, fresh seafood made on the spot.
Moçambican food is the best. So clean & flavourful. I was really hoping you try the red fish. The garlic kind of sauce they put on it is just heaven. I want to cry now 😂😜 This is lovely Trudy.
Jamaican call the red fish ,, butter fish. It nice meat soft , next time you ask for ,, snappers fish ,, tilapia is not Rated in Jamaica we say ppl that cant afford sea fish buy tilapia is a fresh waters fish , underrated tilapia wild sea fish a the best

I have been to that fish market several times while visiting family in Maputo The vendors are always coming around trying to sell you goods and the restaurant people come after you after you have been to the fish market, we usually head for one that we have used previously as the food they cook is fantastic, I am English living in the UK but the wife is from Maputo so she knows how to talk to the people there I do recommend going there, there is usually a fruit and veg stall inside the market also

Hi Ms. Trudy😀!! That is wonderful to quarantine, people are realizing how nice it is to have more time to themselves and not have to go into work every day.
You brought back great memories. I could not eat all my food at the fish market. So good. Thanks for sharing. What’s to my people in Mozambique. Eu voltarei
Oh see octopus, lovely sea food, very very fresh I can see them. The place is very clean without been told. I just like the way they prepared the fish. The way the red fish is prepared makes me salivating Yap. Bye❤️❤️🙋
True Maya here, the redfish is name butter fish , the one next to it is name snapper we eat all those fish in the Caribbean , I saw lobster and that make want to jump off from my lockdown and fly over there now , the fish dinner looks good
I'm just from neighboring eSwatini, but have never been to Moz mainly because people have been saying Mozambique is full of crime, like they remove your car parts while you park and re-sell to you. For many years I've canceled my planned trips to Moz, but after this, I am going there for many days of course. And it's a beautiful country as well.
Very beautiful place. Mozambique has the best seafood cuisine. . Im not keen on seafood except fish but for others its heaven. Also try thrir deserts they make the best treats
That market is cleaned and organized. Other African countries that have problems with sanitation and organizations in their markets, should adopt this concept from Mozambique.
Its an african custom! Good to know other african countries have it. It is also a form of respect and appreciation for the guest, so he/she doesnt move from the table before the meal
Wode Maya just made me realize something. The Ugali in Kenya and its version in southern Africa, does actually in West Africa. But in the northern part of most West African countries like in Northern Nigeria aming the Hausa in Northern Ghana among the Dagomba and related groups and in Burkina Faso among all groups, also in Northern Ivory Coast among the Senoufo and Malinké people and also in Mali. While Fufu is made of either Yam, Cassava and plantain, the West African ugali like is made of either corn, millet or sorghum. It is called To among the people in Burkina Faso, Mali and Northern Ivory Coast. Here is a woman in Burkina Faso preparing To ( west African Ugali). ua-cam.com/video/1E1R78iDBRE/v-deo.html
Wow, I just watched the video on the link you provided Patriote Gnawa. The To (Toho as you initially spelled it) is prepared exactly the same way here in South Africa. I'm just fascinated with the name because in the Northern Sotho language the soft porridge is called Motogo. See recipe and some more info on the link below www.afrika-junior.de/content/continent/south-africa/motogo-porridge.html
@@mhlave2440 wow, it seems like the root TO is also is the way you call it. It must have been one of the oldest African dish maybe from the time of Pharaonic Egypt. It is just amazing how people who are in the west Africa and close to North Africa cook the same dish almost the same way as people all the way in the southern tip of Africa.
