【Synopsis】In the last years of the Tang Dynasty, a military governor and warlord named Zhu Wen is out in the countryside when he happens to come across a boy who has been raised by wolves. The warlord decides to take the boy in, adopt him, and name him Zhu You Wen. Zhu Wen then proceeds to launch an ultimately successful coup, usurping the Tang monarch and installing himself as the first Emperor of the Later Liang Dynasty (907-923). The new Emperor names Zhu You Wen as a royal prince.
At court, Zhu You Wen forms a bond with a woman named Ma Zhai Xing, the daughter of a government official.
Despite his lofty status at court, Zhu You Wen is motivated by a strong sense of justice that was instilled in him during his years of living in the wild. He and Ma Zhai Xing begin to form a romantic bond. And with her support, he plans to temper his adoptive father’s unpopular and overly strict reforms - and battles to foil a series of dastardly plans hatched by his scheming foster brothers.

For me the best drama cdrama that I've ever watched. 😢😢😢 It's just so sad that Wolfie and Xing Er never had a happy ending. 😢😢😢 But in all fairness, it really touched my heart the LOVE they have for each other despite of everything happens to them.❤️❤️❤️ Kudos to all the casts and production team of this drama. 😍😍😍

At first I thought I wouldn’t be so engrossed in this story as I was. I watched the movie and now watching favorite clips. This was a great drama. They couldn’t find a better person to play the Wolf … he was very threatening and fierce when he wanted to be I really like Darren Wang also very good at playing his loving loyal and protective side. The love story is heartbreaking with Li Quin they are very good together
And Xiao Zhan character was so great also…very noble and heart wrenching. Story filled with sacrifice, loyalty, undying love, friendships versus evil, and oppression . Loved the music and costumes everything S
I wish it ended happily too sad
I really liked Ji Chong. I'm glad they wrote him a happy ending. I was afraid they would have him off wandering alone and sad. He admitted to Bo that the Princess was no longer the fun-loving, free-spirited girl Xing'er he fell in love with. They would never be happy together, even if Bo was gone. In the end, he realized he had someone who dearly loved him and had that free spirit he needed.
I really enjoyed this story and never get bored of it till the end, and never regret it. THANKS FOR THE ENGLISH SUB

Bestest chinese drama ever i call myself expert in Chinese dramas but recently alot of dramas i start watching i leave them midway but after a longtime drama like this make me unable to stop . Darren wang is the perfect choice for male lead he done fabulous job female lead is so amazing and its my first Xiao zhan drama i know he is very famous but my personal preference lead towards the darren wang in the overall story. I fall in love of wolves they always attract me and i want to pet them but this drama give me another level of courage about my liking .

@@ranaahsankhan1547 i don't like Bl I know untamed is not mainly a bl story but a different plot but if I want to watch a drama without romantic relationship then I am gonna watch it I watch gank your heart of Wang yibo I also love his acting a lot. But right now I am unable to come out of this drama wuxia plots hit different and there is no similar drama based on this story.

@@ranaahsankhan1547 I already watched back from the brink and afterwards it's been a long time i don't watch wuxia drama but the wolf is another which steal my heart. But during my universities days I avoid to watch this genre they make me unable to do anything because of my curiosity level so I watch romcom during my study periods . I got off days that's why I watch this drama and I complete it in 2 and half days

I knew happy ending of Wolfie and Xing er was an impossible luxury but I still want to say this: I HATE EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW. They loved each other so utterly much and being together in "some other world" is not GOOD ENOUGH for me! They're stuck in my heart like a pain now and I HATE THIS! Ugh.... Especially Ma Zhai Xing. The poor girl is just so full of love. To be honest, nobody deserves a gem like her. She deserves the world. God I'm ugly crying right now. I wanted to watch these poor little couple happily living with each other so bad, AT LEAST some years. How can a drama of 49 eps not give the lead couple a few years of happiness together!? It's too cruel!!!!!!

Let me write the season 2 I don't know how all of you wait for season 2 but it's unable for me to wait and forget the drama.
Wolfie born in royal family and xing er born in a very loving family but not royal she born with the birthmark of hue di ( butterfly) and Wolfie born with the pendant of the wolf teeth . Due to royal decree xing er parents have to marry her off in another kingdom and she marries the Wolfie she is against the marriage and has a very lively personality and hate to be controlled by others but she get married and always try to find a way to run away or something else . Wolfie on the other side has a introvert but strong personality because If I make him extrovert then he is not going to look like a lord bo to me . He always had a dream of wolf hunt mountain . I don't know my mind is going crazy . This drama is so great.

A very good series!!!!!! Such sad times though :(((( I think they could have maybe included the wolves more since he was brought up with them and could communicate with them, the connection shouldn't have been lost almost completely. The main actor....amazing how he his face changed so brilliantly, from the super cute Wolfie with his gorgeous, innocent smile and sparkling eyes, to the very serious Lord Bo!!!!! At first I really kept wondering if they were, in fact, different actors, but kept thinking, surely not, because they do still look so much alike :)))))

I am sad that ma zhai xing has to die. Chinese writers are cruel. Im unsatisfied with the ending as usual but the whole story is one of the best Cdrama i have seen. And the sound track is so good. Hoping for season 2 of this drama. I want to see more moments of the princess and Lord Bo loving each other. The best drama, my second fave next to the Song of Glory.

At least, the wolf didn't die,he deserves to live a full life. Whatever evil he did wasn't his fault. And he atoned for everything bad he did.
He only had at most 6 months to live. The poison was killing him. After her death, he chose to follow Xing'er in death on Wolf Hunt Mountain. I would have liked to see a scene with him carrying her into his 'lair', his cave on the mountain.
