I was so happy to see this video! Brought back many happy memories of Silver Springs. We didn’t do the kayaks ( too scared of the gators) but did the glass bottom boat. It was such a relaxing day out and my kids absolutely loved it! Even the drive there through such small towns in America was so lovely.
@@AdeandLisa My kids said on the way home that it had been their favourite bit of the trip. It’s somewhere we would never have thought to go but we were given those free tickets by friends who left them behind in their hotel room. There were 3 extra ones and they asked if we could give them away as they had an expiry date on. Well what a palaver that was! People were so suspicious and wouldn’t take them. Eventually a lovely couple with a young boy took them & later on them gave our kids some money to buy a souvenir, so kind.
We visited Ocala a couple of times doing a cat sit so we're able to visit many of the springs, it was lovely. We did the glass bottom boats both the short and the longer trips and loved it. The springs around the area are so worth a visit and in some you can actually swim. I highly recommend it.
My wife and I enjoy your vids. We used to go to Silver Springs many years ago when they had animals there including Giraffes you could feed, and we always did the glass bottom boat tours. They scaled it down significantly over the years, although your kayaks looked fun. I also used to be on the dibb with the likes of Mr Tom Morrow and Mickey House. We haven’t been to Florida since before Covid, but we plan to return in the next couple of years, but we won’t do Disney as just too busy for us.
Hi guys really enjoyed this one, brought back memories as was a regular visitor to silver springs 20 years ago when it was a paid attraction much like gatorland or wild florida is today. We discovered it as they always had big adverts in the coupon books in Orlando. Think they had a water park next door as well . I think it closed about 10 years ago and i think the state parks have taken the site over.
That was very enjoyable. People focus on the national parks, but the state parks can be just as nice. As for accessibility to the parks for those with mobility issues, it is law that they be available to all. There may be limited access to all features, such as to certain hiking trails, but the basic park services have to accommodate all. The parks’ maps will not only show the level of difficulty of each hiking trail, but which also show which are wheelchair accessible. I’ve seen some parks with trails for the blind.
Love kayaking so would put this on our list. We did go kayaking at Shingle Creek which is not far from our villa and just off the 192 near Medieval Times. There are also some trails there
I've been swimming with the manatees in crystal river, on the west coast in 2017. It was amazing. It was very early in the morning in the winter but the water was warm. 😊
Just stunning - but I'd still feel uncomfortable getting in a small boat knowing that a gator could pop over to investigate 😁 Great to see that even somewhere like this has accessible areas. Have you got any more vlogs coming up away from the parks? Hope you're both well and surviving the heat 😊
This looks like a fab day out! Important question: what was the bugs situation like? Were there lots of midges and did you get bitten? Thank you for your videos they are great for new ideas or to relive the joys of Florida in between trips ❤
Are you able to split out the Disneyland parks vlogs that you have all together in the playlist? I can’t seem to work out what vlogs are for what trip and in what order. Thank you xx

Oh wow! That looked absolutely amazing. I think we would be a bit scared of those gators though... 😱
They don’t go near you x

Thanks so much for your recommendation 😊❤️
I do kayaking but only in my local area in Scotland so far lol. It's a good way to be out in the fresh air and I find it very relaxing
This looks like such a neat experience!!
It was so fun 😊

That’s so good that they have to be accessible 😊

Oh wow! 😊
Need to go to crystal river and swim with the manatees
We’ve looked into it, but the swimming terrifies me. Lisa 😊

The gators didn’t bother us. It was the drowning for me 😂
Yes we do. It’s coming soon xx

Such a great question. For people that always get bitten, we didn't get bitten in either State parks xx
Did you do the longer kayak trip to Ray Wayside with shuttle back or the shorter loop one?
There wasn't a choice. We just booked the clear kayaks tour.

Hi. Which Disneyland vlogs do you mean please?
@@AdeandLisa hello. The Disneyland Paris vlogs please.
