In truth he was a drunkard and would abuse my mother for the ten years they were together. Today my oldest brother blames my mother for the life he had after our father left. Just wanted to add that my never really supported us financially because he already had a family. That he hid from my mother. So my mother left him I guess at the final act of abuse she would be willing to take. That was when she was pregnant with me and he tried to hurt or kill her with an axe. My oldest brother is also abusive. He abused us for more then a decade. Life in this house was hard and unforgiving as a child. Some day I would wish he would just die. That's how bad it was. He says my mother was abused because she was disrespectful. Like how can a man decided to hit a grown woman because of disrespect. She is grown not a child.
