I like how consistent they were with the JSDF using last generation equipment to maintain a superiority cushion if any of their equipment fell into enemy hands---F-4 Phantoms instead of more modern jets, Huey choppers instead of Blackhawks, and Cobra gunships instead of the modern Apache. Good details.
In the show they also explain that the newer equipment requires GPS, which isn't available in the Special Region

Can you imagine if these guys tried invading the world of Earth Defense Force, they would be completely screwed. One Squad would decimate their army.

@@masterofthelyokianmonsters2886 yes but even against an army they still need an army of their own along with tanks and helicopters to match their forces in numbers as even if a squad is armed with heavy Weaponry they would eventually get overwhelmed, where a single EDF Soldier would be armed with guns that could easily blow up giant insects, dragons and giant aliens. So you see where I'm coming from where a single Squad of EDF soldiers or even one composed of a wing diver a ranger and Air Raider and a fencer could easily deplete their forces especially if they strategize together.

As if the high amount of gun owners wasn't enough for you guys, we have an Air Force Base, an Army reserve center, Fort Hood, a Coast Guard station (yes, they are a branch of the armed forces), the Marine corps reserves, and the Texas national guard. If I were them, the US, especially Texas, is the last place I'd ever want to invade.

MrMLaidlaw this song is about the invasion of Belgium in 1940. a company of soldier with 40 men named chasseur ardennais were ordered to defend the border against thousands of Wehrmacht. their motto were "resist and bite" and damn they resisted like a madmen.

It's this particular anime's way of saying that this was an exceptional event. The police officer wasn't ready to see something like that, because the anime is a bit in the way of propaganda. It's the author's way of saying "nothing this violent ever happens here in peaceful japan!" but in reality every country has a violence problem. Whether it's the streets of Chicago, The acid throwing UK or the Yakuza with their uzi's, machete's and especially baseball bats.

As a fan of both Sabaton and Gate this doesn't work very well, Some thing like Coat of Arms or Hearts of Iron maybe, even then it wouldn't really work sorry but good try.

worse anime, no real challenge by the main characters...the battles were all just massacres and all the individual fights required zero effort for the main characters to win. They even had them beat special forces from multiple countries even though Japan forces haven't seen combat in decades.
I mean, the entire point of the anime is to give the "what if a modern day military force fights a medieval one" feel.

Disappointing. The potential combination fo the Anime clips and the song could have been upic. However the Editing was pretty much nonexistent. Merely video clips thrown together with music.
