    Very helpful, for years I have been trying to incorporate diminished chords into my playing. Gypsy jazz in particular is very good as it incorporates this sound a lot. Thank you for simplifying the process.

    Goede videos Christiaan! Ik ga verwijzen naar jouw tutorials als je dat oke vindt. Ik ben bezig met een serie tutorials over harm. mineur, phrygisch en dom. pryigisch. Daar heb ik (o.a.) een min of meer Gypsy style backing track voor gemaakt. Daarin zal ik gaan verwijzen naar jouw tutorials. Succes met je kanaal en wat je verder doet. Gr. Rob

    Great video! Is there a reason why you don't go to the left as you go up? Like, in A7 if you go 5, 4-7, 5, 3-6, 5, 3-6 starting with the 2nd finger on the 6th string A? Or 5, 4, 2-5, 3, 2-5, 3 starting with the pinky on the sixth string A? Is this a bad habit for Gypsy?

    Great video. But how did you know what dim arpeggio do play over the D7? Like I can't just start the pattern from the D note if the chord is D7? Is it always a major 3rd distance from the root of the dominant chord? Why?

    • @ChristiaanvanHemert
      @ChristiaanvanHemert  4 роки тому

      Thanks. On D7 these dim arpeggios work: F#dim, Adim, Cdim, Ebdim

      In you think of a C7, starting a dimished chord at E (maj 3rd from C), will add E, G Bb and D to the C, wich ends up as a C9

    I was working on Diminished Arpeggios today for Si Tu Savais! Thanks for this! Also, how do you do your loops (pickup, looper, amp)?

    Great video Christians, but I’m slightly confused a bout the relationship between D7 and starting on F#,A,C &Eb ?
