It's a shame that anyone who played the first game had this ending spoiled in the intro. And it's a double shame because this was vastly superior to the original in every way. Anyone contemplating playing it for the first time should just skip straight to Lufia 2.
For how great this game is, it's a shame that the end bosses are so uninteresting. Not that the game as a whole has especially difficult combat (definitely the easiest in the series in that regard), but I still feel like they could've done a better job with these final fights.
physically second weakest character despite supposedly being a mighty warrior, even Lexis has higher strength and defense than her despite Lexis being an old scientist dude. I think they should have just made her a sorceress/priestess rather than having the text say over and over than she's tough when plot and gameplay shows over and over that she's not (Lexis has higher intelligence than her too).
@@ninalindqvist7411 Lufia 2 had a huge disconnect between the strength of characters according to the story, and their stats in battle. Especially when you look at characters like Dekar, and compare story feats to battle feats.
Man, I wish the final dungeon music wasn't always interrupted by opening chests and those two sinistral battles. It's too good.
That ending sure brings back memories from the '90s. Great game and story.

When this music kicks in, you know it is getting badass.:)
Thank you Lord N-Zo for posting this.
It's very useful for demo purposes when training others.

Bro, Selan is built differently.

@@ninalindqvist7411 I meant in the video. She has 999 in almost every stat. Minute 1:05.
@@ramasama whew, now that's one way to deal with her sucky stats. GUT is capped at 199

@@gurvmlk Eh, I feel Selan was hit worse with that story/battle stat disconnect. With Dekar it was only his low agility stat what made no sense.
30 years passed... no lufia 3 😪😪😪
Lufia 3 was on the Game Boy Color, titled Lufia: The Legend Returns.
Lufia 5 is healthy in development
the final bosses are really, really, easy... especially if you break the game wide open.
Parallax!!!
Great Game with a disapointing ending... Geez :(
has to end this way due to how Lufia 1 starts.
