(Feb 2019) For the "voices ruin it" whiners: When I first posted this comment I was fairly sensitive about such feedback, but I don't take things to heart as much anymore. That said, I still think it's harsh to claim a 9min track is ruined by a 40sec Let's Play sample.
You give it free here yet want people to pay to listen to your full instrumental track?.. Yes I am glad you created this but either way this is originally from the Street Of Rage series, you shouldn't be making any money out of this.
+Elexy Reyah You don't get it. The pay would be for the extra work. If people want to complain for another version, they can have it at a price. The download would still be free.
Elexy Reyah Yeah this remix came out of thin air. there was no work involved in producing this at all. no time and effort went into making this track. Get off UA-cam with your bullshit
Much appreciated, man. I've got some SoR fan albums (Streets Of Wrath 1 & 2) on my Bandcamp too, if you'd like to check em out and share if you enjoy. 👍
Man do I feel invigorated, ready to take on the world when I listen to this. The original soundtracks are amazing but this mix definitely does it justice.
I was watching a video of someone playing this game and I started singing the "Streets of Rage" song in this video... for some reason, it just fits perfectly :D
Really don't see how people complain about the voices usually I don't like it when remixer's put voices in their tracks but this showed me that voices can enhance the track even if I think it can't get better. the voices are a nice addition and I love them. if this didn't have voices it just wouldn't be the same keep it up...and the groovin' lol
People like myself love instrumentals tho I don't dislike them singing. It's just not the best singing and has background talking that messes it up even more.
DUDE YOU KILLED THIS. All the way back in 1991 and 1992 when both streets of rage and streets of rage2 came out there was always tight music. this stage 4 remake of part 1 was tight, but I like how you added stage 5' s Slow Moon, from streets of rage 2. I aways thought stage5 from part 2 was dort of like a follow up to part 1 stage 4. I'm glad that you knew that. AWESOME DUDE!!!!
Yeah I think it was intentional on Yuzo's part. The first 2 games have a few connections here and there. SOR1's Round 6 is a lot like the first part of SOR2's Stage 7, you've got the returning bosses, and the final fight with Mr X. Thanks :)
Awesome remix, and for the vocal thing if you don't like the vocals any musician can appreciate the fact the vocals are off tempo but match the song perfectly. Old topic but 11 years later this thing still circulates, you got talent bro
Thanks, I appreciate the input. Sometimes I look at the pinned comment and think I should delete it, and at some stage I probably will. But I want listeners to be clear of my intentions. It wasn't to "ruin" a song, but to provide an easter egg. A bonus experience. Whether or not people are familiar with the voices is irrelevant. I hope that more people can find humour in it.
Love it! The voice samples do nothing but make me love it even more. especially the "die dammit" haha pretty much what I say everytime I fight Mona and Lisa
The voice samples surprised me and made me giggle a little. Reminded me of myself when I was younger. An amazing mix that brought back memories of when my mother and I beat the game in coop mode when I was a wee lad. It came down to just me and Mr. X, one life in reserve and I emerged victorious!
People like myself love instrumentals tho I don't dislike them singing. It's just not the best singing and has background talking that messes it up even more.
@@dionysosalters-cj5nr Sorry 😅. When it comes to music with me, I don't get involved with the comedic side of things often. I always focus on twists, unique sounds, beat and/or rhythm patterns that are not often used and/or applied in beauty or in great form with the twists and sounds you make or develop, etc. Stuff of that nature.
Years later and I still come back to this for nostalgia. I honestly believe that the voices themselves make the music itself so much better by adding that touch of comedy and funnyness to the table. That being said, this is one of my favorite pieces by you, along with wave 131. I hope to see you producing more content as good as this. Keep up the good work. :)
