The golden rule for most transformer fans is that robot mode have to be in scale with each other, the rest can be compromised. Like size of vehicle mode etc.
Can't wait for the mini Spike that comes with a jet transformer and then the rerelease of MP Megatron that has a life size Spike to hold the gun and the price is jacked up to like 5000 dollars ;)

Anymore it seems Mps and Mp styled figures are trying to integrate mounted weaponry. Making it the rule, not the exception like it was with the Prowl mold. Like how in theory you didn't have to remove Megatron's fusion cannon. I would bet that if they redid Wheeljack or Sideswipe the shoulder guns would be integrated.

I think I prefer the Fantoys Hound, but I really like the engineering that went into MP-47 to avoid partsforming and find ways to integrate its accessories into it.

It seems like more love and passion was used for this figure he isn't over engineered and for once his back doesn't turn into a huge backpack I'm actually liking this figure more than mp 44 and and bumblebee and black arachnia both him and sumstreaker are both the pinicle of what masterpieces could and should be in my humble opinion
I've been waiting to transform my Hound because I find EmGo's videos are the easiest for me to follow. I'm terrible at transformations so I need to go slow haha. Great video!
Personally I would prefer Detritus from the Siege Hound Mold because since Detritus is a Junkion and probably never came to Earth(And even if he did I dont think any Junkion would bother scanning an Earth Mode) I think it would be better
I just got my copy, and I love it! Def want a toy-accurate paint version as well as a Detritus! Had the e-Hobby Detritus, but he went when I sold my vintage collection to focus on MP/3P.

Okay the avoidance of partsforming by allowing the spare tire to collapse into the one foot and the gun and gas can to collapse into the other was genius. Cartoon accuracy, minimal kibble, beautiful color. A definite winner. I hope to get him someday.

Those people at Takara, they're Wizards, I tell ya! The way they fold in those accessories into the feet, and the wheels into the legs, there's some magic hoo-doo going on there... LOL
@@smarrkidd5538 I agree with you there, and with the abomination that is the latest MP version of Optimus Prime. Way too over-priced, I don't care for the sound gimmick, the truck mode looks way too plain, the robot looks like he is wearing a diaper and the transformation looks way too complex. But I don't mind all of the other items that come with him, but that's not enough for me to fork out that much for him, however.
EmGo you are the man! Followed your transformation, no cracks, breaks, basically everything went smoothly for the most part. One thing I did different though, because I was fearful going into the transformation I would accidentally break around one of the many hinges, I liberally applied silicone lubricant both before transformation and on places during transformation. Maybe it's how the colors are setup on my monitor, and maybe it's the extra lighting but the green paint on yours appears brighter hue and glossy where mine looks darker and more matte...weird.
Not even remotely interested in this figure but here because Emgo makes these reviews enjoyable regardless Edit: that wheel & leg transformation is really impressive
Mitsubishi Jeeps were license built CJ-2B civilian jeeps.. based off the MB military jeeps in service, but with a less powerful engine and featuring a tailgate, which the military jeeps didn't have.. at first.
The FansToys version had the Mitsubishi logo on the grey prototype. I'm guessing TT made this Jeep branded because Mitsubishi no longer has a license for that design. Jeep is very protective of its trademarked grille

I recently got MP-47. I love its design (I admit I have to watch your videos to learn how to transform it several times ...). I am glad I didn't miss the toy just because of the bad reviews in forums.
Hound was always one of my favorites. I have the Alternator figure of him and that thing was impressively engineered but some of the things this does are next level. Very impressive, I may have to pick him up if I can find him for a reasonable price.

I don't know if it's the type of ink/paper, or me getting older, but I have had a really hard time deciphering the instruction sheets on the last couple MPs (and given how complex they have become, this is not a good thing). I just got my hound yesterday and had opened it up, was having an awful time and thinking "I wish EmGo had done a video on him". 15 minutes later.....
Emgo prides himself nowadays on being appropriate for all ages. He used to cuss somewhat in his older videos but he doesn't do that anymore either, so a joke like that wouldn't be in his modern videos. 7-8 years ago, maybe.

It’s really a tossup between this and Fans Toys’ Willis IMO. This has a *lot* cleaner looking legs and feet, but I much prefer Willis’ head/face sculpt (much less of the pompadour than the MP), the shoulder rocket (the whole armature piece sticks out an awful lot in my eye), and yellow paint jobs (which are far more ‘clean’ looking than the MP’s thicker lines). But given FT’s tendency to be really pricey after the official stock sells out, I couldn’t fault anyone for choosing this over Willis. I was lucky to get mine for retail used in excellent condition.
Yeah, I considered the Generations version but I hated the color. Found the Henkei version with its more faithful color scheme and found it cheap on eBay a few years back.
Well, after several disappointing G1-Masterpieces Takara has actually managed to produce an MP-figure that's decent. My faith is _cautiously_ restoring.
I especially love how almost nothing is shiny on him. Everything is matte, so he looks more like he just jumped out of the cartoon. Big fan of cartoony looks for the cartoon toys. Save the shiny and chrome looks for the movies' and CG shows' toys
You know, maybe it's a good thing I have never had a figure with articulated fingers because my inner 12-year-old would likely have them flipping double birds like, all the time.

after all these years the g1 vehicle mode still looks pretty dang good. This was my first transformer as a kid and I loved it!
The wheel folding up into the leg, the holo gun leg storage, and the soft top accessory storage literally left me with my mouth hanging out

I had a Transformers Alternators Hound (that line focused on accurate vehicle modes) and that was by far one of my favorite transformers
