This is my first ever trip report in my new TravelReports format - So hopefully, this is a enjoyable video! Please, do let me know if you have any trip report suggestions, as I read my comments to the best of my ability. Anyway, enjoy 😊
The 777s certainly have many impressive features (information displays, wheelchair boarding ramps etc) I read somewhere that it is estimated that it will take about a year for all the 777s to be in service
@@Baloongis2 See, the reason is, we haven't actually received all the units yet, nor are any allowed to stay in the second depot, Birkenhead North EMUD yet, so we've ran out of room to take on more for the moment.
The new Merseyrail Class 777 are very nice and brand new. Plus they are so much quieter than the Class 507 and Class 508 that are to be sent for scrap.
It must have been hectic trying to film this and get a UA-cam video uploaded in the shortest time, when so many folk are filming the exact same train. No doubt the first film 'published' will catch the early viewers I have watched a few videos of this same event and somehow, each one is totally different. Later this year, the local Metro service, here in Newcastle will be starting to use new trains too, also from Stadler, in Switzerland. No doubt there’ll be many folk filming the first train here too .. I might even join them.
This video took nearly 13 hours to edit due to some technical difficulties, So you are indeed correct - Honestly though, I enjoy the process of editing :) I'm sure I'll be popping to Newcastle to have a look once they're in service!

That is correct Thornaby - It'll take 12-14 months for full introduction.
Why is it taking so long?

I'll miss the PEPs, but you do make a good point. The 777s are likely a worthy replacement.
Brilliant video! I subscribed
Cheers :)
In my opinion, the single door on the first and last carriages look a bit odd to me but it's a fine train ig
They're certainly a departure from the Class 507 and 508 - Which had two doors per side per coach. These only have one.
