किरण चौधरी के कांग्रेस से इस्तीफे पर बोलते हुए, कांग्रेस नेता शमशेर सिंह गोगी ने 19 जून को कहा कि अगर उनके पास कुछ मुद्दे थे तो उन्हें आलाकमान से मिलना चाहिए था। “मुझे दुख भी होता है और पछतावा भी. वह पूरी जिंदगी कांग्रेस में रहीं और उन्होंने संघर्ष भी किया है...अगर उनके कुछ मुद्दे थे तो उन्हें आलाकमान से मिलना चाहिए था। हाईकमान को भी ऐसी घटनाओं पर गंभीरता से संज्ञान लेने की जरूरत है...इसका समाधान निकालना हमारे नेतृत्व का कर्तव्य है...यह मेरी निजी राय है. मुझे नहीं पता कि वास्तव में क्या हुआ लेकिन कुछ तो हुआ है...यह बहुत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है,'' शमशेर सिंह गोगी ने कहा।
Speaking on Kiran Choudhry’s resignation from Congress, Congress leader Shamsher Singh Gogi on June 19 said that she should have met the high command if she had some issues. “I feel sad and I also regret. She was in Congress, her whole life and has also struggled...if she had some issues, she should have met the high command. High command also needs to seriously take cognisance of such incidents...it is the duty of our leadership to find a solution to this...this is my personal opinion. I don't know what happened exactly but something has happened...this is very unfortunate,” said Shamsher Singh Gogi.
