How to Build Small Lego Union Pacific Big Boy (MOC)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 лис 2024
- Building guide for my own Lego creation inspired by articulated 4-8-8-4 steam locomotive manufactured by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) between 1941 and 1944 and operated by the Union Pacific Railroad in revenue service until 1959.
Thanks for watching and comments :)
I don’t want to that guy, but that’s a 2-8-8-4 “Yellowstone”. The “Big Boy” is 4-8-8-4. For those of you confused about the numbers they just denote the wheel base. Two leading wheels (unpowered), eight driving wheels (powered), eight driving wheels (powered), and a four wheeled trailing truck (unpowered).
I'm glad to finally see someone who knows what they are talking about.
Hello
same
Well I thought Big Boy was 4-0-1-4
@@cardz_n_stuff_23 *w h a t*
This MOC is spectacular and it perfectly captures the look and charm of a Big Boy. Absolutely beautiful. I know you probably won’t, but I’ll will admit that Big Boy is just eager to haul loads of rolling stock. All and all, this is a masterpiece. Keep up the good work.💪🚂
Thanks for your positive feedback.
13:05 I love it, just like the 4014 big boy.
The first lego Union Pacfic big boi i ever seen, congrats Frant, ya really are da lego artist man, i wish id be in Barorov.
Great design btw
Thanks :)
Good job
Thanks :)
Pro tip: if you remove some of the boiler pieces and 2 pairs of wheels you can make a challenger!
Thanks for useful tip - I hope I will make this train (Challenger) too. Looks also very good.
@ samozřejmě musí být někde ještě malé úpravy ale to snad nevadí
@@thebluediesel Spíš bych zkusil něco z gruntu nového.
@ taky možnost
@ fun fact you didnt make a union pacific big boy
So cool video
thanks :)
Me encanta tu tren pero no tengo ofisiente Legos me encantaría tener un así
gotta love it and thats smart taking it apart and playing it in reverse to get a video i like it and i like your style and i love trains
Its much easier from builders perspective. Imagine he builds this model first time there are gonna be lots of errors when designing a lego build taking apart and putting back pieces so when he gets it done its easier to just take it apart and reverse video than taking it apart and building it back
@@toyotacorolla4268 yes i fully agree with that infact i do it many times
@@toyotacorolla4268 aE
This is amazing, wish I had the pieces

This should be a lego set for 20.99
Would be nice :))
Ueah
Tyler Justen it's a big boy is real lego right?
Yes is on Lego shop a young one and the realistic one
Thank you very much! I actually built it and im satisfyed
Thanks for comment :)
Is there a detailed parts list for this build? I would like to build this for a grandchild of mine.
I'm not sure, but I think it might be on my Flickr - www.flickr.com/photos/hajdekr/.
Quick question not a hate comment! Did you reverse you taking it apart? Bc I noticed you violently shoving pieces together but if you are it’s a smart idea because sometimes you don’t keep track of how you build things so reverse light g you taking apart helps you as well so you can rewatch the footage if you forgot how to put it together when you finish they video
Yes, I recorded taking apart - the easiest way for making instructions without eidetic memory :)
9:37 Oh no! A mega blok!
I saw that too, it threw me off
I'm a train lover and it's cooool
thanks for comment - my son loves trains too.
Or, you could build the real thing with Nifeliz's Big Boy set. 1800 pcs, 70$. Why Lego hasn't done this loco is odd, but if they did it's be 300$.
So wouldn't it be Small Boy now?
thanks i can. its so cool
Union Pacific Little Boy
Nice video by Indonesia
Thanks for your comment and greetings to Indonesia and thanks to all Indonesians for favoring my channel :)
that pretty good
A small Big Boy. What is this world coming to?
World is getting smaller and smaller and smaller....
Thank you had a video I'm making the big boy
So it's basically 3-wide. I wonder how much work to make it 4- or 5-wide and compatible with wooden tracks... Hmmm...
Could be more detailed in the bigger scale.
This is amazing
Nice to see 👀you
As is often heard in Frat houses at universities;
CHUG! CHUG! CHUG! CHUG!
I like it it’s just why are the wheels correct but the tender isn’t forward?
I made some mistakes in this model, but I was too lazy to repair it...
Yeah Ik but hey it’s a great look for it
The up big boy is my favorite steam train
1 reason, cause it’s the biggest train in the state of America?
Wait r u doing the tutorial backwords? like the video is like going backwords instead if going firward like ur ditatching the Train peaces
Or maybe, it's telepathy? ** The Illuminati music starts playing in the background**
wow megnectic hand and bricks
And you can go get to the car
cool!
Good toy I like this toy
thanks :)
@ reversed clip??
@@KB43VERthe43rd Yes.
Veeery Nice👍
Thanks :)
why does it look like the peaces fly to his hand

I think its reversed

you should try to make the Polar Express
good idea
@ no problem
Again, this is not a 4-8-8-4 it’s actually a Yellowstone 2-8-8-4
We
I think the second wheel of the leading bogey would be hidden by that front piston arrangement and is there in spirit.
DMIR themed Yellowstone
I searched where you live (Bavorov) I guess, is it a peaceful city? and your place is beautiful
Yes, it is :)
very cool! are you able to build it in the real colors?
I am not sure....
I find the way this is edited to be kinda creepy Ngl
pls make a monster truck with suspension and big wheels
I can try.
if you can't its ok atleast your designs are good
o wow
great billding
thanks :)
I love this train
could you make this 4-wide to fit your EMD DDA40X?
Nice idea :)
Maybe in a future.
Its fast when your connecting
Just insane love it
can you make this but bigger scale where you can put it on lego rails
Would be nice, but I am afraid it is out of my inventory...
@ oh ok
the tender is backwards
But its true man
Me that doesn't have technic bricks
Hmmmmmm ,INtruStInG

How does make the magnetic parts trick?
Very simply - take it apart and play it backwards :)
And you have to throw the bricks to the table.
Excellent! Very cool trick
Hold on wait a minute something not right why you put it on so fast
Sometimes is harder to take it apart...
he took it apart and then played it in reverse lol
Ohh..
Nostalgia❤❤❤
It's reversed
Yes, ideed.

man, your constructions are really cool, but man, do you remember which set you used in the video "how to build a lego motorbike", thx
Which motorbike (video) you mean?
@ is a video from 2 years ago
Best build
do you see a longest train i ever seen
I never saw this, just on the photos.
muito legal
Obrigado pelo comentário positivo :)
I could see this being a ride on loco in lego
Why not do it all black and add some details ! 😀
Thanks for the recommendation.
so is this video in reverse or what
Yes, it is :)
Hi Could you put up a parts list and where to purchase my 5yr old would love this he's a massive fan of this engine and lego
Hello, unfortunately I have no parts list, but I placed some part-numbers into this video. And all is available on the Bricklink.
WHY IS THE TENDER BACKWARDS
well maybe the coal slides to the footplate and then can be shoveled
@@ammonite5093 but the there is no place to store the water
It is backwards, actually. Probably easy to change in the model though.
@@ammonite5093 In the actual loco the coal is moved into the firebox by an Archimedes screw.
@@santafefanproductions786 In this, I guess the water goes under the grey panel? Though as the builder says it was made using only a photo or two. And as the top is reversed it will be an easy fix to swap them around.
Could you make a flying Scotsman
Thanks for the tip - I've thought about this train a few times but haven't found the right way yet. But hopefully it will work in the future.
That lego city Nice nice
Me who doesn't have any Legos:
