My Wii U save for Majora's Mask ended up with the code 12345 and I was fuckin floored. I can NEVER delete that save, I will guard it with my life.
Im pretty sure every save you have with that copy of the game will have 12345. Or at least it worked that way on the N64.
@@Ethan-pr3rz that was because certain data was stored on the cartridges back in the day but digital/discs no longer have that iirc
I have my second save on my n64 copy with it, never thought much of it tho just a "huh neat" thing for me at the time, after i got good at math (i almost typod meth) i realized that its really fuckin lucky
I mean, there’s only 120 ways to arrange 5 different things without repeating and only using each number once, so it’s a 1/120 chance for 12345

1 is for the gamer, with his rando true
2 is for his eyes, twinkling bright and blue
3 is for the progressive sword checks, sneaking round like worms
4 is for the c stick, and all directions it turns
5 is for the frogs, ribbiting in surprise
And all of it is for ZFG, who softly says "hey guys."

Didn’t realize the code was randomized. My playthrough had 52341, just assumed the kids were cheeky and swapped the first and last digits of 12345 😂

My first playthough of MM on the Collector's Edition GCN game had 12345 by happenstance, and I've never been able to be that lucky ever again
My luck in the early days of Terraria was getting the slime staff on my second slime kill in two DIFFERENT playthroughs.

Megageniuses, im wondering, can there be a rando setting that separates FD from FD's sword? As in, is it possible without having to change a whole lot in the code?
No way! He's hard coded to his sword with some really deliberate properties. Trying to separate them would probably create all kinds of problems.
FD is so unique because of how aggressively they programmed his sword draw. It really really wants him to have sword at all times. I'm sure changing code would achieve what you're after but he really is married to it

Also I sorta don't see the point of starting without Song of Time if you're just going to use 3rd day resets whenever the moon's about to crash. It just adds unnecessary time to the run.

Can someone explain what logic refers to for randomizers? Tried googling and couldn't find a straight forward definition.
logic means a seed can be beaten, and usually means all areas are reachable. no logic means impossible seeds are possible
its the algorithm behind the randomizer, there are a few settings: glitchless (meaning the items will be randomized in a way where the seed can be cleared without any glitches), no logic (the algorithm puts items in random checks without regard to verifying if a check might be impossible, can lead to seeds being impossible due to things like new wave being in the dungeon behind great bay entrance), or nearly no logic where there are a few restrictions put on the algorithm so that its highly unlikely for seeds to be impossible
there are also other settings that randomizes items like skullsanity (randomizes skulltulas), potsanity (randomizes pot contents), and keysanity (puts keys and key rings(all keys to a dungeon put into one check)) to name a few notable ones
Logic is essentially what tells the game how you can randomize certain items. The most common application of it is preventing items from being in locations where you need that item to access (think Oath to order on the moon) but it also can be a lot more complex and chain throughout the game (because sometimes there are chains of items you need that are combined in such a way where you eventually find you just can't get them)

so you would need at least base 18 for it to be 10^6
