Oh my , I totally forgot about this song. One of my all time favorite. Just found it again and it took me back!!!! Thank you very much for loading this song!
I haven't actually played this out for a few years now so it was a real buzz to see you enjoying it Drew n Chelle! Thanks again for being so appreciative and being a big part of a great night. Hope to see you both again soon! Rich 👍
@cotton dub Great job. Really great job. Always loved this song, especially the "banging" piano, but you've shown me another side to the song. Thanks. And regarding the post last year about dub and "dub" ;) As a huge fan of dub why not try a King Tubby remix of a NO track?
I had no idea about this story about that british serie and a this pre-VPoint in there. However, I had already heard this instrumental version before. But I really prefer the "popular" one, with Lyrics, not just for the voice or the lyrics (that I understand pretty poorly), mainly for the synths, the rythm, the groove, the power...dont know how to explain. Lets see my friend if you can mix New Order as incredibly as Lee Coombs did with Crystal nearly 20 years ago: ua-cam.com/video/N5lmSdqz7gc/v-deo.html
Thank you. All my reworks are called 'Cotton Dubs'. As in dub in the purest sense of a 'version', not a reggae thing if that's what you were thinking. Also a play on the name of my label , Cotton Bud. I'm not sure this is any more 'housey' than the original. In fact, it's a fair bit slower - too slow for most house DJs.
@@CottonBud Thanks, yes, I was thinking in dub as that reaggae sound (which I love indeed!). I did not know "dub" also means "version" (english is not my native lenguage). And you right, the original is more danceable than your version. In any case, your mix sounds great and polished. I miss some lyrics, in Vanishing Point, I really love the chorus "My life ain't no holiday ...I've seen all the hate of a woman too". Maybe you could include it somewhere, somehow?
@@Santisaez1 Thanks once again for the kind words. Yes, I would have loved to have the vocal in there too but unfortunately I couldn't find an acapella of it so it had to be instrumental in the end. However, Vanishing Point was originally an instrumental on the UK TV series 'Making Out' which was broadcast a good four weeks before Technique was ever released in January 1989. I was a big fan of the show and nearly called this the 'Making Out Cotton Dub'. In fact there is a 'Making Out' version they released too, as you may know. ua-cam.com/video/kMOqIWMJSRE/v-deo.html
The official instrumental version is a crap with a keyboard disturbing the stanzas and does not have the same structure as the vocal version. Your version is much more adjusted to what would be a worthy b-side of a maxi single. You have done a great job!
2023 and I'm STILL listening to this song 🎵!!!!
Estou apaixonada ❤essa batida é tudo.. meu Deus que maravilha de som
This is one of the best I ever heard.
Parabéns pelo vídeo lindo este remix perfeito
It's like I'm sitting on Hooky's bass bins wearing Steven's snare drum for a hat.
Excellent remix of one of my favorite album tracks. Thank you!
You too?!
Phenomenal. Sounds better than most commercial New Order remixes.
Thank you Jason! Rich
Technique changed my life.

OMG. This is exhilarating. Well done, and thanks.

pretty similar to the original. stripped back more
Very nice job. Also the visual stuff. But this is not very dub, is it?? I would say this is more "housy".
