Wonderful to see this thoughtful restoration making steady progress. I recall entertaining the volunteers who visited week long work camps and came to us at The feathers in the evenings to rehydrate, that was thirty five years ago. Much progress since then however i am sure i will never pilot "Spook" over the M6 toll in my lifetime sadly. Do you think the local peasants were up in arms two hundred years ago about the canals being built?
It’s slightly ironic that HS2 provides a fund to support local ecology when in fact the line itself is significantly destroying the environment and peoples lives Anyway, love the work the canal trust is doing, but not a fan of the white elephant that is HS2
