I think she pays because it's in her name not through lack of Sergio having no money,come on now don't disrespect that man as he has money from football and other business ventures but nothing can be in his name pertaining to property ownership just yet. I don't like these two but it's an immigration matter not a lack of funds.

If she did yell, then it was warranted, but what was mean about anything she did? Just because you marry incompetence does not mean you have to put up with and coddle the incompetence at every instance. What are you even insinuating by "she knew what she married into?" By that token, he knew what he married into. Stop it.
This scene clarifies Sergio's desperation for a baby. If everything is in her name and he has no credit, he has little chance of getting much if she was to divorce him. His clinginess comes across like he is holding on to the relationship for dear life and he is afraid to lose the "bag", no pun intended 😂

As the only boy in my family, I'd always see how the "one to carry the last name" was so important and to be honest, very discouraging for the females. From making it "all about what man she finds to marry" to how "important it is for a man to have a son to carry the last name" it's all so barbaric and dusty. Like, as much as i co-sign the beauty of (healthy) loving marriages with pride of heritage, a woman loving her man... it's kinda past the line with this whole "a man carries the name." I think it's unhealthy for little girls and too macho centrist for the boys. Let's just find a new culture where this is gone.
