Kick Down Doorstop - Why you need one + Installation

In this video you will see why you would want a kick-down door stop and how to easily install one yourself.
The list of the tools for the job is: measuring tape, marker, screwdriver, drill and drill bits, and a door stop itself.

Does it matter which side of the door you install the door stopper? I have a heavy door but I prefer to have the door stopper in the door stopper on the inside of the door

I brought one with a pedal, I was wondering which to get, this or the pedal and I brought the pedal one as there is a pedal to lift up the stopper leg instead of struggle to use feet to lift up. So I went with the pedal kick down door stopper as its hands free. The method of stopping is the same as you kick down the leg to stop the door from moving, it's only the pedal part for the leg to keep

My door is very heavy and has a 7/8 undercut space instead of the standard 3/4 inch. Should I install a 5-inch instead of 4?
