    Very helpful, thank you!
    Fyi dont use pipe for a TUBE chassis. Pipes are made to flow inside. Tubes are made to be structurally optimised. Tight tolerance inside vs outside.

    I have two tubes identical diameter in two places in 3D space, how would one connect a sketch line between them??? It will not highlight or identify the center point of the cylinders even though the center line is visible. I can get close... but cannot snap to it. Any ideas? I swear the people that make this software leave MUCH to be desired when it comes to common sense..... I even generated a plane along their axis so I can simply draw 2D on the plane, but it still refuses to snap to the centerpoints! I have never gotten enraged at any software learning curve as much as this one...... Frankly I don't understand why I can't rotate the object in 3D space, select the end of the cylinder as my plane, then select centerpoint using the line sketch tool..... then rotate the object to the other cylinder face and repeat.... voila a line between them. But I can't. Several days trying to learn this and it just doesn't make any sense to me.

    From here: how do you make the cutting templates for the tube notching?

    when i use this structure into ansys workbench analysis, ansys not consider whole body for analysis, ansys only consider that element which are in contact with the force. can you please tell me the way to analyse this type of problem in ansys as a complete element, i preparing for SAE baja event frame design so i stuck in that part. can you please inform as early as possible

      Hey there Alex. You can right click on the Menu and select "Weldments". I put a video about it here. Let me know if that doesn't work. Best Regards

    My software does not bring up relations in 3D. do you know why ?

    • @JokoEngineeringhelp
      @JokoEngineeringhelp  4 роки тому

      Never heard of that before. Are there any existing relations if you right click on a sketch entity and select display/delete relations?

    Is it possible to print out a tube end notching template from the Solid Works sketch?

    • @JokoEngineeringhelp
      @JokoEngineeringhelp  3 роки тому

      Print with a 2D printer? I think the easiest for me is to model the notches and put them in a drawing and print at a 1:1 scale to ensure you have the right size. There probably is a way to do it with a sketch but my workflows have always concerned drawings

    • @malibu188
      @malibu188 3 роки тому

      Joko Engineeringhelp Thanks for the reply. Yes a 2D printed paper template that can be wrapped around the metal tube end as a notching guide.

    Great tutorial! It opens my door to structural elements, I have in mind to do a rollcage with this tool. If you need any help from a student of mechanical engineering really motivated and with medium knowledge of Creo 2.0 and Solidworks, let me know and we keep in contact!
    Best regards and great channel!!

    Why do incomplete video? Also make a drawing for each tube with dimensions and end finishes. It is uselesss to play and draw with sketch. you can do nothing more than print it out and hang it on the wall.
