Im in Australia and didn't know they raced trucks! I was watching smokey and the bandit last night and at the start of the movie they are at the truck races and thought I'd look up USA semi truck races and this popped up!

Here in Switzerland, closed course racing is forbidden. The only racetracks I've ever seen with my own eyes are gokart tracks or scheduled hillclimb events. I would so love to see this sport closer to me! Aussies have their motor sport figured out, people around me don't even know what super stadium trucks are!

You can't beat the Oran Park truck races in the 90s. Don Hodge, Gerry Bajema, Rodney Crick and the others all battling on like crazy in a 50 lap race. That was racing. None of this 6 laps stuff these days.

These are modified normal trucks, am I right? Thats just a little bit cooler than the purpose build racetrucks we have in Europe. Which are still cool tho.
Brian McNichols you try to drive your hot rod on the street and your going to jail. Not really all that friendly for gear heads. They have strict regulations for street driven vehicles. And the penalties are harsh. Closed course or private land? Do what ever you want, just don’t even put a tire on a public road with anything not mostly stock.

North of 900 to 1000 horsepower on a single or compound turbo depending on the class. Take Aron koffman for example
