😺😸😸😸... And, if you believe in God, and have ever read the Bible, you might notice that Jesus NEVER RAN ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!! He just WALKED!!!!!!!!!!!... LESSON!!!!!?!!!!
@@timnotbrianmay You aren’t Jesus and neither am I. Be who you are. We aren’t all supposed to be a bunch of Jesus clones lol. Certainly would be a bad fit for a guy who tends to be a hermit like myself. Walking around Preaching would make me angry/depressed and everyone else too since I’d be bad at it. I’ve thought about that a lot. Doing what you’re good at instead of trying to make yourself be something you’re not. Run if you like. Stay home instead if that’s you. Don’t let fear guide/rule you however.
Yes. Reminds me of Jack Ruch (for those who don’t know him and his channel, check him out and you’ll see it’s a compliment to both Adam and Jack to compare them to each other).😊
Love the line about being "reactive or proactive"... that's a gem! Especially since it can really work either way depending on the musical situation. Solid video, Adam & Rhett!
This lesson is awesome. I love the beginner section. 'Don't move.' The breakdown of the progression and where you 'could' go, but don't have to, was really helpful.
Picked the course up right after it came out. Even though I’ve been doing a lot of this stuff over the past 40 years, the perspective that Adam and Rhett present and the way they teach is very fresh. 🔥!
It doesn’t matter how many views or likes you get on a video you made a an incredible video. This is super entertaining watching you both play and talk about the blues which is my favorite genre. great video! 👍🏻
Nicely done. I would add one thing - learn the vocal melody and start there. I know both you guys do this. Of course if it’s a backing track there is no vocal melody yet. In that case try to think like a singer as you solo putting in breaths and the like. Maybe this is for a more advanced player. Also for more advanced players jettison the “box” idea. Once you’ve really learned your scales, etc. try to “hear” what you want to play and let your fingers do the rest if that makes sense.
Adam s the Yngwie of slowness. One chair and a lamp in a gymnasium. Our sense of space is engaged when you play. Tasteful execution is a must. Great take on the track guys.
Rhett, I really enjoy the content and, more importantly, broadcasting a musical direction for people like me to quickly connect to I say thank you. The video is great. I hope more people find their interests in the people they find and not the logo or algorithm. Cheers bud Ps can't wait to play through the new course.
Amazing video, Rhett. While I'm sure UA-cam can feel discouraging at times, please know that we love and appreciate you for all that you do.. regardless of the number of views the video gets. You're a legend on UA-cam.. this is irrefutable. You have brought guitar wisdom to many, many young (and older) players. This is what really matters. Keep doing what you do. Keep making videos from the heart. And we will keep watching. Be well, brother. -Freeland
As @adamlevy explained to stay in the b minor box a little longer, it’s so you can learn how to use all the individual notes and learn to put multiple notes together you move gently over the phrasing with attitude!
This was such a great video, thank you so much! Adam's examples when demonstrating how the pros are proactive and lead you to the next chord was so tasteful and beautiful. Great playing!
Thanks for posting this lesson. I'm definitely still most comfortable at level 1, teetering into level 2. But I have had fun trying my hand at the ideas behind level 3. It's an approach I had never considered before.
I’m not super active on UA-cam, I don’t subscribe often and I certainly refrain from commenting. This video was a huge eye opener as far as playing around the chords of the progression and jumping into the anticipated chord two beats early. Thank you for this, thanks for your other video on why you hate UA-cam. I’m honest when I say this video sparked inspiration and I genuinely learned something new. Just liked, subscribed, and commented. Cheers!
I love how Adam makes his guitar singing/sounding , just bought the course ! like it very much !! By the way you sound terrific with your P90 first guitar. Thanks for this course.
To see a pro like Adam teaching the audience with such a calm and non judgmental way is really a breath of fresh air. Great stuff Rhett! I’m going to check out the course too! Do you have an app as well ? Cheers
I remember seeing the first one pop up, but I work 12-hour swing shifts and never went back to click when I had more time. Commenting to boost the algorithm.
If the chords change slowly, follow the chords! If they change quickly, stay in the tonic! And, don't be afraid to use chromatics, either sequentially, or non-sequentially! Work ACROSS The chord changes, and think melodically! Just go and listen to virtually, literally EVERY solo and fill that Brian May has ever recorded!!!!!!!!!!
What a snappy title and thumbnail, think ill check this out!
Me too!
😂😂😂
Right!? Not cringy at all. Bwahahahaha
Oh, yes!
@@AdamLevyGuitarTips Love you Adam!
Adam is always the calmest, most chill dude. And his playing reflects that. He's never in a hurry. All of us players could learn from that.

@@boomerdell Yes! Jack is a great player.
I love that Adam doesn’t overplay. It’s never about “look what I can do!” It’s always about the song and what sounds musical.
Exactly. It’s music like this that I aspire to play. Love it!
He’s so intentional about his note choices and timing!
I liked how the teacher says, "take the listener on a trip." "Tell a story". Really solid advice! 👍
Adam has such a distinct sound. Taste and class exemplified

Thanks for making this incredible video, Rhett. This lesson from Adam is INCREDIBLE
Great stuff!
That was helpful! Loved Adam’s explanations and examples. Such a great tone from him too.
Nice concise title that refers exactly to the subject matter in the video. Can’t wait to learn some stuff
UA-cam thought I didn't need this? It is exactly what I needed.
Beautifully demonstrated !

I saw Adam Levy perform with Lizzy Wright at the Curaçao North Sea Festival a month ago. He's an amazing player. Always tasteful and dynamic.
It is good to be a subscriber of the channel! In that case you won't miss videos like this even when youtube wants you to!
How good and inspiring is Rhett's channel as a guitar player.. Thank you Sir

Here because of the rant and rewarded with guitar playing that is like butter. Great stuff, guys!
One for the reach... :D Great and insightful lesson, presented so simple. Thanks Rhett and Adam!
Thanks for the direction to go to this video!
Excellent way to explain where the notes are coming from a Chord. “Just move that note over here…”
Excellent, clear, direct, simply explanation of this stuff. Sooooo good! Makes me 'need' to grab my guitar!
Bravo, well laid out.
One of the best explanations I’ve heard
Got the course!
2 Beautiful tones. Smooth!!!
Huge fan of Adams musical sensibilities!
Love the wisdom
just awesome!

Wow! UA-cam finally suggested this video for me.
Great lesson, thanks mate, appreciated

Great video! Adam is a master on the guitar. Would love to check out this course 👏

UA-cam recomended me this great video. Thumbnail and title now has the youtube seal of approvement.
I just couldn’t pass up the that thumbnail. Who this the new UA-camr anyway?!?
Nice job, I hope you get better traction this time.
Let’s Go!!!!
Level Two: on string ② bend the F# note up a 1/2 step to the G note for the Em chord - Bonus Tip - vibrato between the F# and G notes
Here in spite of YTs shitty algorithm. Wow - the tone you and Adam have is amazing
Smooth operator.
Great video and I watched it

@@brianpuls8514 I can, and quite able to, but it DOES NOT WORK AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!
Why did the UA-cam algorithm dislike this video? This is great guitar advice!
It's because I clicked on it when he originally uploaded it, but I clicked out of the video before YT counted as a view. It's all my fault
How is it that I've never considered that the job of lead guitar is to LEAD the listener to the changes? Seems real obvious now.

FYI I watched with both thumbnails and titles.
