As someone with adopted and step family members, they're absolutely real family. Like, this show is already about incest. There's nothing that's going to make it better, so adding all of this insulting "but technically" stuff doesn't make any sense. Just lean into the premise instead of trying so hard to justify the messed up situation. Cause if you're going to do all that, then why not just make it so no one in the show is related at all?!?!

I do remember that in the Masaomi’s route in the game, Ema and Masaomi get married and are expecting a child, which always made me uncomfortable because he’s literally 14 years older than her, and she was like 17 and he was 31 at the start of the game and by season 2 of the game they were 20 and 34 respectively. Going back over everything makes me super uncomfortable…
