Honestly, Birdie can be a fat joke all Capcom wants, he’s still intimidating as hell if you don’t know about his goofiness. The chains, the heavy steps, this theme, he definitely looks like the kinda guy you really don’t wanna piss off. Or… get in between him and a good meal…

Birdie is supposed to be Funny but also one not to just fuck with. He has Inhuman Strength and certain powers also. So, a serious gag he has become.

Yeah, that's subjective now. Alpha Birdie, yeah but SF5 Birdie? No amount of good gameplay can convince me he is a legitimate threat when the story made him well, a fat joke.
A joke with a cool theme but honestly, Rufus had a neat theme and look at him.

I never bothered with Birdie in the alpha series but he became probably my favourite in SFV, as well as his theme. They really made a good character out of him.
Despite his thugish punk like look he isn't a scary dude but just a chill guy who likes to eat.

@@seasonembrace3624 Tbf expressing something doesn't necessarily have to be storytelling through writing, but rather through character design.
And good character design is like required for fighting games.
But yeah sfV fixed that at least with his belly.

Ever since Shadaloo came to its end, Birdie would leave the Kanzuki residence on a good note and head back to England. Taking some time away from everything, Birdie trained to the point that he lost the belly he had and became the size he was when he was younger. One night, while out drinking, mysterious goons burn down Birdie’s house. When he gets word of this, he immediately rushes to the scene and catches one of the goons. Birdie then beats the goon to a bloody pulp, asking him whose plan it was. When he hears that Sir-N has emerged, Birdie demands to know more information. When he learns of the SF6 tournament coming up, he finally lets go of the goon also learning that he is a target for Sir-N. Refusing to run away any further, Birdie decides to enter the tournament to put an end to Sir-N and get revenge on whoever destroyed his peaceful moments in his life.

Blue Jeans, Blue Vest with UK Flag on back. Black Gloves with chains on wrists. Chain around neck with Cow Skull Pendant on it. Full Beard of Facial Hair. Hairstyle could be switched to a fade. Earrings could be smaller. Red Diamond studs or hoops.

He did when he wasn't sick back in 1987. You just never saw him with that look which FYI has him with abs and the Alpha outfit. :P
I dont even like birdie as a character but his music is kinda hard lol. I can kick ass to this. I mean its not on the level of Ryu and Ken. It doesnt match the same energy as say R. Mika or Urien, but when the beat break down around 1:25 I feel that🎶🎶🎶

Another concept for Birdie SF6
Since the events have gone by, Birdie eventually decided to leave the Kanzuki residence on a good note, and headed back to England. Birdie wanted another chance at the wrestling circuit so he went to go look for work there. Thanks to Zangief, Rainbow Mika, & Alex, Birdie would be given another chance to wrestle again. Inspired by it, Birdie decided to get back into the shape he had in his younger days. Surprisingly, he won his return match and was very respectful towards his opponents he would face. Remembering his bout with Ryu in the 80s, Birdie used that fight as an influence to do better as a fighter. Since then, Birdie has even gotten better as a fighter and a man, being more responsible, not that he was lazy to begin with. Birdie wrestled earning money, winning a lot of it over the years, and actually saving most of it for a rainy day. However as his career progressed, Birdie began to see that there were Shadaloo soldiers reformed as Neo Shadaloo, as well as Sir-Q soldiers watching him. This began to make him get suspicious, thinking that there was another hit put out on him. Birdie managed to get his hands on one of the soldiers who tried to attack him, but he escaped the ambush. Demanding more information, Birdie was suddenly given an invitation to the SF6 tournament. Deciding not to run away, Birdie decides to enter the tournament and destroy Sir-Q, the organization who kept trying to ruin his life.

i'm a bit disappointed, the song is good but if you weren't familiar with birdie's alpha stage theme you wouldn't think that this song was his song
Japan really doesn't do punk well. They definitely got more of the power ballad/synth influence from the 80s.

@@Sebastian-kb1vm well then thats just a matter of taste. However I can still appreciate different tastes in music even if I dont like it. SFV music is excessively manic and techno for me but I wouldn’t say it sucks.
