Pro tip: Only move in straight lines. NPC deer dont curve, but they do sometimes turn at angles. Anyone curving is a player, unless the AI gets updated.
I played the game with a few friends, and it is really fun, for both nonsense and serious deception. I got my friends to shoot normal deer so often.

i like what the game is trying to do, i get that the players "pretending" to be deer need some mechanic(s) so the hunter has ways to figure out who's a demon deer and who's an NPC deer. i say, remove the mushrooms, double the number of deer, have the players have to "demon consume" an NPC deer to restore their hunger, while also the player can "mind control" an NPC deer for three seconds every 20 seconds. At least, that's what i would do.

I will say, you have settings for the first two. You can make deer players need to eat significantly less, and you can up the number of NPC deer.
