Reminds me so much of Leonard Cohen's work from the period of Death of A Ladies Man. I have not heard this sound and lyricism accomplished so effectively since!

+Matthew Corbett Matt's brother Tom, who directed The National's documentary Mistaken for Strangers. Proabably his daughter in it too, but just guessing.

Not sure but I'd like to know cause she sure is an attractive woman :)
I think it is his wife Carin Besser. I read in an interview that Matt has also included her in his work with the National, not only by stealing phrasing from her when putting lyrics together, but also for back up vocals. I read that he was quite excited to make this project more personal and include his family. It is hard to tell for sure with all the makeup but I think it is a fair assumption.
