It's awesome that the mention of your name is almost expected when a pantorouter is lurking about. Kuldeep is representing overseas, homie. Matthias has us covered in North America. I sometimes complain about the machine UA-cam has turned into but there's no denying that community still exists. Instead of hundreds of little niches being filled, there's tens of thousands, big and small, communities around the globe flourishing and growing daily. 300 hours of content is uploaded to UA-cam, every hour of every day. When you think about it, it's amazing that we're all 'here' to enjoy this drop in a massive ocean. G.
Is it stupid to get excited to see Matthias Wandel posting on Frank Howarth's channel? I watch them both religiously. Keep up the great work, I can't get enough!
That's an innovative use of the pantorouter -- an elegant twist. Many thanks to you Frank and Kuldeep Singh -- not forgetting Matthias Wandel. What a team!
I'm not a woodworking expert but i love watching your videos. What's not to like? They show cool projects being made from scratch, with awesome stop motion animations, interesting techniques, good narration explaining everything and sick camera angles! :D
What a great shot with the camera inside the bowl as you used the router! Besides the amazing woodworking, your style and, dare I say, cinematography are what keep me coming back to your videos, Frank. There's also a whimsical quality to some of your stop-motion work which I just love.
I am constantly amazed, amused and inspired by both your woodwork and filming Frank. You are what the Brits would call a "national treasure” all be it a low key and well hidden one.
Excellent inspiring video. It's not often I can say I shed a tear on a woodworking video. You sir have changed all that. Thank you for being so innovative and creative.
I like the shot from the inside of the bowl when you're routering it. Also love when you do a time lapse of lathing, so it looks like the object just becomes magically lathed as it sits there.
I'm pretty sure this is the coolest video I've seen ... well maybe ever. great use of the pantorouter, and I loved to shots you got, inside the bowl while cutting out the patterns was great.
Man, I would go for it to the cinema! The storytelling, shots, tools handling etc. it's all just perfect and exciting. Awesome.. *adding a lil comedy* and at the end comes Diresta with some sprays and stencils, and smiles looking at your bowl :D
One of the best videos I have seen on UA-cam! Thinking about the time frame of this project this video has been in production over a year, simply amazing, considering the time and energy spent this would be one of the most expensive bowls in the world
When you said you were going to build and put a segmented top on the bowl, that was good! But then you said you got the pantorouter and wanted to add to the bowl, I was blown away. Very very nice work and piece! Thanks for sharing.
Just one more example why Frank Howarth is the undisputed king of UA-cam woodworking. Thanks for all the super quality educational, entertaining, and free videos.
Only just discovered this channel. Love the woodworking, narration & cinematography. Those stop motion parts are a charming touch too. The camera shot from inside the bowl while lathing blew my mind! Subscribed!
Very fun and marvelous work Frank. I am glad I read all the posts I could because the inlays climbing the bowl blew me away. The 'double sided tape' explanantion calmed me back down. At least you did not use rare earth magnets. Am totally dazzled by your continued excellence.
Hi Frank. I'd like to congratulate you for the great job making the bow, and for the filming. Nice stop motion and time lapse. I hope your creativity increases with time.
I always look forward to new videos of yours Frank, they are a combination of knowledge and entertainment mixed in with humor that only an architect (like my wife) can manage to brew. Keep up the good work!
I know this is an old video now but I just found your channel. Three remarks- your woodworking is beautiful, your stop action animation is fun, and the production quality of your videos is awesome.
Dale, I just found his channel this week and I see some of the videos are 3 years old. With all the thousands of videos I've watched I ask myself, how could I possibly have missed this channel. Mindblowing!
Frank, I love the way your mind works! Your production values are wonderful, your workmanship is excellent & I always look forward to what you'll be doing next. Keep up the great work.
That is artistically outstanding, technically great, and a beautiful bowl. I especially loved the inside the bowl camera shots. I could feel the tension of the first cut and what it might of meant had the insert pieces not fit exactly. Thank you for letting us in on this piece of functional art.
This is my second time watching the video, and thought of something that may be useful. Your comment about worrying about the bowl slipping on the pantorouters table. You may have discovered that clamping alone as you did works fine, but for added security here's an idea. If you took a piece of MDF (for it's flatness), mount it to the top of the table with sandpaper fixed to it with spray adhesive then clamp it the same way. The mdf would be easy to mount with all those tracks. Might not be relevant to this application but maybe others or for other people where a solution like this may make the difference in a project succeeding or turning into firewood you worked days on. Enjoyed the video..........twice.
I've no idea how I managed to miss your channel all these years or how I came upon it today. But I'm certainly glad I'm here now. No doubt you've heard this b4 but it bears repeating, this is the best wood working channel ever! Your animation work is 2d only to Disney, just amazing. My opinion any way. Thanks for being here.
Wow Frank! What a beautiful bowl, and an amazing way of using the Pantorouter for such a job. Well done - I'm looking forward to your next video. I love your work, keep it coming!
Beautiful bowl and wonderful video! You're just oozing with creativity and it's very inspiring. I think I'll get my old lathe shipped down so I can start turning again.
This was a wonderful video from beginning to end, Excellent work!!! More importantly, that was a beautiful bowl. I’m not even an woodworker, but recently felt the need to get into something of that sort. Although I still do love being an Network Admin, I’m glad I came across this vid, and I will be sure to show others.
Top notch Frank, no one puts together a woodworking video like you! I loved the shot from inside the bowl while you were cutting the openings with the pantorouter. Fantastic final product (bowl and video).
It's funny that Matthias commented on your last video noting you could use a Pantorouter for getting level-bottomed holes on the drink tray! Such a genius invention, always good to see new uses for it.
Amazing work, and even more so with the video production. Blew me away when I saw the shot turning from inside of bowl. You should hook up with the AAW.
I had an inkling that you were an architect (just by the way you talk about concepts and the occasional sketches) and I recently saw your website. I guess my hunch was right!
Hi Frank beautiful work and great video's. On your problem with chattering when you were turning the inside of the bowl and the wall was thinner. As a former machinist when turning the interior of large venturi valves we would encounter chattering. We helped this problem by wrapping large rubber straps around the exterior of the valves we were turning. The straps need to be stretched which reduce the vibrations. Hope this works for future projects.
oh man, I know very well the sensation and time consumed attempting something on a piece and the fear of ruining it but when it works... aaaaaahhhhhh.... I can stare to it for even longer later! always, always a great video Frank, congratulations!
Love that sequence showing the assembly of the pantorouter!
Thanks, I felt like it had to be done.
frank howarth And it was well done - so cool!

Fantastic as always Frank, the bowl and video.
Thanks Carl
Thanks, Frank, for the time you spend crafting, working, filming, and editing. Your talents are a wonder to behold. I look forward to every new video.

Adding the walnut ring and the rain drop pattern to get rid of the crack is ingenious! Pleasure to watch your video!
Excellent inspiring video. It's not often I can say I shed a tear on a woodworking video. You sir have changed all that. Thank you for being so innovative and creative.
Ooh, that wood has such a lovely shimmer at the end. Your bowl turned out beautiful.
Simply stunning Frank, and that goes for both the bowl, and the video.
Take care
Mike
It's amazing the different takes we all come up with for Segmented Bowls!
Nice creative thinking and production, Frank.
I love that you filmed sequences for this video a year ago. That makes me smile. Nice piece Frank!
I like the shot from the inside of the bowl when you're routering it.

This is one of the best shot videos I've watched on a woodworking topic. Not only informative but down right well done! Thanks.
Only just discovered this channel. Love the woodworking, narration & cinematography. Those stop motion parts are a charming touch too. The camera shot from inside the bowl while lathing blew my mind! Subscribed!
Every video of yours raises both my amazement and the level to which I think it can be raised. Bravo, Sir!
Very fun and marvelous work Frank. I am glad I read all the posts I could because the inlays climbing the bowl blew me away. The 'double sided tape' explanantion calmed me back down. At least you did not use rare earth magnets. Am totally dazzled by your continued excellence.
Amazing video Frank! I love how your bowl designs are always so different yet equally creative. Also the stop motion was really sweet!
Hi Frank. I'd like to congratulate you for the great job making the bow, and for the filming. Nice stop motion and time lapse. I hope your creativity increases with time.

Another brilliant video Frank. Probably one of your best, the pantorouter build sequence was stunning and an amazing use for the machine.
It's beautiful and it's big. I like the way you inlaid the Paisley shapes. It turned out to be a keeper.
I love seeing people find a new use for tools! Beautiful bowl!
That is amazing. I am in awe of your creativity. I am always looking forward to what you have coming next. I loved your interview with Bob too.

Wow. I really like how the light plays on the walnut segments as you turn the bowl... very nice
