Good idea to play this at a smaller stadium. Visually looks better when full and also a better atmosphere. Can still play the big games at Newlands. Its something the other SA teams should look at. 10 or 15 k is a decent crowd but can seem lost in a huge stadium. Works well for Leinster with RDS and Aviva for example.

Dude, really? Roos should've get a red card and 6 months suspension. What he did was worse and more dangerous than any high tackle, spear tackle, eye gouging or biting I've ever seen on a rugby pitch. He puts all his body weight on the head of a player, from behind, out of the ball and smashes it on the ground, you could kill somebody doing shit like that
Benetton should have forfeited the game after that ridicolous decision. World rugby keeps talking about players safety, but it does not apply to certain players or teams

Well, after the kok-up with Munster, let's hope Edinburgh do us a favour. Will need home ground for semi or final, if we win Quarter of course. Can't see us winning 2 away in Ireland. We could pull off 1, but 2 is too much. A bridge too far me thinks.
You can thank the ABs for that. "Flat passes" started with the AB franchises in Super Rugby. Always thought they were forward but then refs allowed it, so everyone does it now.
@jack deegan becuase the ball was at the other side of the ruck in the 9s hands 🤷 I've seen other games she referee'd where she wouldn't call verbal advantages on penalties, but then still gave the penalty but the the had no clue they even had advantage. When asked by the captain she told him he should've known they had a penalty advantage without her having to tell him 🙄 🤣
Whoah that ref hates the stormers!! 🤣 That was so biased! The call on Senatla, OMG. He gets pushed and then elbowed in the face so that he is knocked out cold in mid air and while he is getting carried off on a stretcher receives a yellow! Disgraceful refereeing!
Senatla the one that actually suffered a head and neck injury but gets carded what a farce. Those guys clearly impeded him in his chase by pushing him and changing their line WTAF!
That's what happens when you have a biased referee, supported by an equally biased TMO, both with good knowledge of the laws but absolutely no insight (common sense) into the application thereof. You are quite right, the first contact was the Benetton player's elbow into Senatla's face, causing him to be knocked out of a position of possible contention (both of them chose to ignore this) Senatla never tackled the Benetton player, the only 'contact' being the player falling over Senatla's receding body. She seemed to be pushing for an excuse to dish out a card without objectively considering the circumstances. At the same time, they both chose to ignore a number of Benetton offenses, including, but not limited to the obvious early tackle on Du Plessis practically on the Benetton goal line - which should have resulted in a yellow card and a penalty try (that is, if one wants to apply laws without context).
@@chuck9960 Actually, he was pushed from behind by his own player (nr 7) towards the end of the chase, just prior to the incident. Maybe you should go watch a proper replay (again), and refrain from calling people liars - it shows a pathetic lack of respect for others' opinions.
Libbok has become a liability.. it's sad to see. I think his size might have something to do with it, but it could be a confidence issue as well. I hope he gets time to work on some of his flaws and get back to his best
10's have their ups and downs just relax no ones perfect look at Pollard and Goosen they have had bad run of games lasting a season sometimes. Its the Coaches duty to manage players having a bad run.
Only if they are incapable, and are being excessively favoured for political "optics" reasons. This female referee, in my experience, is fine. Certainly not worse than the many rubbish referees we have to deal with every week.
Not enough stupid men refs? Now they must have stupid refs in another gender. How long before they will have to have an African-American trans women in a wheelchair? The northern half-round was tired of the physical dominance of rugby by the southern hemisphere. So they came up with a plan. Yellow card any southern player that makes a good tackle. That should put so much doubt into the player's minds, they will think twice before using their strength and their skills. And it is working. Rugby players have quickly learned to dive like soccer players to attract the attention of blind refs. Now kickers do an elaborate dance to get attention before every kick. Players lying on top of another after scoring. At 1:55 this player did not try to score close to the uprights, he deliberately try to score as close to the camera as possible. Hair styles and stupid tribal tattoos are already more important than skill. What is next, high heel shoes and leotards?
Very promising URC season from Benetton. Hope they can win the Challenge Cup.
I hope so too, it would be huge for Italian rugby. I've enjoyed watching Benetton play this year. However my money is on Glasgow to win it
